I am trying to display ImageButtons dynamically, which I have been able to do. I also want an event to fire when I click on those dynamic ImageButtons. I have the dynamic controls loaded in an ArrayList. I am able to have an event fire for all of the dynamic ImageButtons in the ArrayList except the first ImageButton in the ArrayList. I'm trying to create Command Buttons dynamically, but clicking the button in question doesn't seem to raise the corresponding CommandButton_Click event. I noticed that in the examples on SO a property is set for Button.OnCommand as well as the CommandName and CommandArgument but it isn't an option in intellisense.(code below without the OnCommand), is it accessed in some other way - if so, why do the examples I've found all show it as .OnCommand?
EDIT: Further to help, I have added the handler however the event is still not firing. The buttons reside in an UpdatePanel and are rebuilt on every postback (along with the handler). I have created a simplified example of what I'm doing which is shown below If the button event fires, it writes "EVENT FIRED" to the txtTestFired Textbox - suffice to say I have never seen that.

I'm adding multiple combobox controls to a form dynamically, but am having a problem with one of the event handlers. The first event handler I've added (for the Leave event) fires, but the second (for the TextChanged event) does not. I've tried reversing the order when adding the handlers and I get the same results (TextChanged does not fire). Here's a code snippet for adding the controls, and the code for the events. I've added a breakpoint while testing to verify - but it never hits the code.

I'm having a problem with a Web Control that is dynamically created and inserted in my page. I create a couple of LinkButtons, depending on the data of the search that was made, and I'm trying to add an Event Handler to each of the Buttons, so it would filter the result. The controls are initialized properly, but the event is never fired.

View 1 RepliesFirst off I hope I'm in the right forum.I have an application I built with the WebBrowser control in Visual Basic 2005. I am using the DocumentComplete event to track when a page has fully finished loading as some of the webpages I need to work with have frames.
The problem I am having is that when some iframes time out or don't load, the documentcomplete events stop firing. So if my webpage has 2 frames on it, we'd expect 3 documentcomplete events. One for each frame and one for the parent document once the frames have loaded. If say frame 2 does not load properly, the documentcomplete event for the overall document never fires.
I've read thru Iceplug's tutorial on control arrays and got it working. I tried to add a new event by basically copying his click event code and calling it a doubleclick event. I used the proper addhandler and assigned the correct name to my sub. I have the click event changing the background color to blue and the doubleclick event changing the background color to green. The background color does not change to green. Why?

I need to dynamically create some sort of 'table' on my form. It should look like:
PIC1 INTEGER1 TIME1
PIC2 INTEGER2 TIME2
PIC3 INTEGER3 TIME3
On top of that it should look like a table and have gridlines between the 'cells' containing the picture/data, which makes it even more difficult for me. Before, control arrays were quite simple in VB6, but I've been searching for 1,5 hours now and I can't figure out how to do this in VB.NET 2010. Any idea how to tackle this the most efficiently?

View 3 RepliesI am using a monthcalendar inside of a panel. when the user changes the "showweeknumbers" of the calendar I need to move some label to the right of the calendar, but I also need to resize the panel. The problem comes into play when the user hides the weeknumbers, the monthcalendar resize event fires and the labels move, but the panel resize causes the month calendar to fire the resize event again, making the labels all out of wack...

We're trying to design a toolbar to use as an addon in another program. we want to set one of the buttons so that when u single click it, the image on the screen is blanked out. And when you double click the same button, it blanks everything except the selected image. However the DoubleClick event doesnt seem to be working at all.

I am running VS 2008 and building my app on a Windows 7 box. The main form/window has a KeyDown event handler as follows in it:

When I build it and run it within VS it seems to run fine. The messagebox appears with the state of the control and shift keys along with the key code of the key I pressed. However, if I take the executable and run it on an XP box (both using .Net Runtime 3.5) as soon as the main form opens, the messagebox appears. Basically the "KeyDown" event seems to be firing without any keys being pressed. The messagebox comes back with: "control = False, shift = False, e.Keycode = None".
How is this possible? How can the keyDown event be fired when no keys have been pressed (as is confirmed by the output contained in the messagebox?) how I can diagnose this on the XP box since it does not have Visual Studio on it?Update I tried creating a brand new project where there is only "form1" and the only code behind this is the keyDown event handler. It just opens a blank window and pops up the message box if a key is pressed. It worked as expected on the Win 7 box but when I moved the executable to the XP box, it immediately popped open the messagebox without pressing a key.
