Asp.net - Asp Hyperlink's Attribute Cannot Be Changed Using Code Behind?
Oct 7, 2010
I am a newbie in asp.net. I am trying to load the text and the URL into hyperlink from a database. After debugging, I found out that the value is successfully loaded into the hyperlink control, however it doesn't shows at the html code?
If myReader2.Read Then
Dim temp_panel As Panel
Dim temp_hyperlink As HyperLink[code].....
I am trying to hide Hyperlink visibility in Repeater if there isn't any Text value in Hyperlink. Something like this:
Protected Sub rptReferenca_ItemDataBound(ByVal sender As Object, ByVal e As System.Web.UI.WebControls.RepeaterItemEventArgs) Handles rptReferenca.ItemDataBound Dim lnkThumb As HyperLink = CType(rptReferenca.FindControl("lnkThumb"), HyperLink)
Would anyone happen to know how to pass a variable to a hyperlink? This is my code howver it gives me an error when I try to Pass the variable(irow("BarUrl")) as the hyperlink address link[code]...
As a follow up to my previous question Putting together a tricky SQL query
since I now have the records returned as URL format, how can I display those as hyperlinks in my gridview? (this is how the client wants it done, not much I can say to change their mind)
My vb code is:
Dim pds As PagedDataSource = New PagedDataSource() GridView1.DataSource = pds GridView1.DataBind()
I have a couple of shared methods in my app which are intended to be used with ObjectDataSource's (and other reflection based objects). They handle a lot of automatic parameter checking, filtering, etc. They are, however, all one time use methods (they rebuild everything on every call). It would be much better for someone writing code directly to call the instance methods so that all the filtering, etc, is stored between calls. Is there an attribute I can add to my methods to indicate this? The best would be if it would prevent the method from being called without reflection. Second best would be to issue a warning that the method is being used wrong.[code]
I need to initialize the text attribute of the text box element with a property from some where else when actually I can simply do this from code but it will be much more convenient if it possible to do it like this:
<asp:TextBox runat="server" Text="<%= new ContextItem("title").Value %>" />
Unfortunately the above can't be done.. how to make it cleaner then to write it again and again in the code behind?
Sometimes in my web applications I used to get this sort of error, I have no clue why is it coming however if I refresh the page few times the page is loading normally.I am using .net framework 2.0 and visual web developer 2005.
im experiencin a werid issues, i was coding all normal then i closed the code went out to do other stuff (without shutting down the PC).after like one hour came back opened again my project and the code font size its smaller than it used to be (the default).
I get an error when I try to build my project.'SSLAccessFiltercannot' be used as an attribute because it does not inherit from 'System.Attribute'. [code]
I am trying to migrate from Access Database to SQL server database. Do I need to make changes (for saving, reading, deleting etc. data) to my code as well?
I understand I need to change connection but what about code?
I am having issues understanding why it is that a text box that has been bound to a dataset correctly updates that dataset when the text in the box is manually changed i.e. by changing it using the keyboard but the dataset does not recognise the change when I change it in code.Am I missing something obvious? The text is changed in code when the user clicks on a command button that copies the text from another textbox on the form to this textbox.
[Code]...
As i mentioned, manually it works fine but when I use the comman button to change the text it does not recognise that any changes have occured.
In webbrowser, I am visiting a website that lists 10 items per page, I select "20 items per page". The webpage dynamically updates to display a list of 20 items. However when I view the webpage code it still shows 10 items. If I refresh the webbrowser, the code will show 20 items.
I changed my Username on my computer from i.e. "xxxxxx x xxxxx" to "Dennis"
VB 2008 during a compile gave me the following error: Error reading icon 'C:Usersxxxxxx x xxxxxAppDataRoamingMicrosoftVBExpress9.0VSProjectApplication.ico' -- The system cannot find the path specified.
The file "VSProjectApplication.ico" is in 'C:UsersDennisAppDataRoamingMicrosoftVBExpress9.0'
Somewhere in the VB2008 "configuration" files I believe that I need to manually change the old path to the new path.
I found the old path in the ".suo" file. The ".suo" file is not a text file. How can I edit the .suo file, save it so that it will work?
If urlQueue.Count > 0 Then Debug.Assert(currentFarm.isBusy = False) Debug.Assert(currentFarm.WebClient.IsBusy = False)
[CODE]...
The commented code won't work. That's because by the time the thread start, the variable currentFarm have changed. So I create a new function and cache the currentFarm in the function parameter. No there will be a cache of currentFarm address (object is always a pointer) on a stack and that address is the one being passed to the System.Threading.Thread constructor.
The error it has is that when one of the text boxes is changed the code changes all of them triggering every single function to activate. Is there a simpler solution other then recoding it from the start? also each different Private Sub is identical basically.
Public Class Form1 Private Sub K_TextChanged(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles K.TextChanged Dim T As Double[code]...
I know the code is very brute forced & sloppy but its the only way i really know how to do it.
on my Form I have a DataViewGrid and some textboxes with a save button (they are filled with additional data of the selected row).Save is disabled first, when I change something in the textboxes the save button is enabled. When the user changes a gow in the grid, I want to ask before changing the grid row, if he wants to save (if the button is enabled).I am using RowEnter but this is too late, then the selected row already changed (and my textboxes already got new data)...What event can I use to ask if I should save stuff before the user changes a row?Something like BeforeRowChanging with a chance to cancel changing the row?
I've read up about the Design_Time_Lock attribute, and I can see when it will and won't be generated. However I don't really understand the point of it. And- more importantly- can all instances of it be safely removed throughout the code?
In the Active Direcotry mmc snap-in you cant see attributes that are "Not Set". When you use ADSIEDIT.MSC tool, if attribute values are null you do see them as "Not Set". How can I set an attribute to "Not Set" in .Net code? Here is the answer in Powershell but I need to do it with some .Net code (VB.Net/C#). [URL] ps msExchHideAddressLists is the culprit attribute, when its True or False in this domain it prevents user information replicating from AD to Sharepoint.
Trying to get the ID out of the hyperlink. Apparently the Facebook ID length has changed so my previous method no longer works. I'd like to future-proof it with a Regex to get the id regardless of length:
<a class="url" onclick="javascriptageTracker._trackPageview('/outgoing/psr/1/www.facebook.com')" rel="nofollow" href="http://www.facebook.com/people/facefacebookuser/1569349641">Facebook : John Doe</a>
1569349641 is the ID and can be any length. I'd like to return only this number.
I'm pulling a hyperlink from a SQL db and trying to embed it in an email programmatically as follows:
Dim dv As System.Data.DataView = CType(SqlDataSource2.Select(DataSourceSelectArguments.Empty), System.Data.DataView) ''Add Ticket URL and comments to answers dictionary Dim emailMessage As New MailMessage("donotreply@myemail.com", "me@myemail.com") emailMessage.Body = dv.Item(0).Item(1).ToString <--Location of email
Example of data being pulled from db:
<a href=http://www.google.com>My email link</a>
I'm trying to get it to show up as a hyper link an email, but instead it displays the full html as above. I've tried HTMLDecode, but that doesn't seem to do anything.
I'm trying to add a hyperlink to an e-mail that i send from an app.
Dim dwtasklist As String dwtasklist = <a href="http:serverpathinit:int=1 ">Click Here</a> Emailer.SendEmailMessage(mailto, mailfrom, "New Task Notification", "You have a new task in Dataworks," + dwtasklist + " to see your BROWSER task list")
the e-mail fires off fine but the end result is this message "You have a new task in Dataworks,Click Here to see your BROWSER task list" with no actual link. Could somebody point out my syntax error?
I have a Category table that have the following columns CatgeoryID, CategoryName, and CategoryPicture and i have Product table linked by Foreign Key to Category table.[ocd]e....
I have some code that lists file in a GridView with their size, date created and date modified etc. I want to add a HyperLink to the 'FileName' column but I have been unable to find a way to do this.
I build the Entire GridView in the code behind. Sub BindGrid(path) 'Create GridView headings and add titles' Dim dt As New DataTable Dim Name As New HyperLinkField dt.Columns.Add("FileName") [Code] .....
