For some reason my code is not adding customer to the session. I am new to ASP.NET does anyone have any input as to why this is happening and maybe able to give some code example.

I have the following problem: I select a customer from a dropdownlist and then the gridview should load all items of all orders of that customer. I have the following query:

I want to pass a List of T where T is an object I've created that has about ten properties (strings, dates and integers).The lst passes to the function successfully. I am also passing an New T of the Object (itm as T).I can see all the values (see image below), but because it's generic I cannot seem to retrieve the property values and I cannot figure out how to iterate through the properties of each itm as they are retrieved in the For Each.[code]
View 10 RepliesI working on a program that I am trying to create a customer data form.Along with the form I have their vehicles related to that record.Now I have setup a dataset in the form.I am pulling data from the database, however when I enter a new record on the customer part the customerID is in the running order, everything seems to be working on in this table.But when I create a vehicle for this customer I have a running vehicle id.Example: I have in the database 4 customers.IDs 1,2,3,4 customer 1 has vehicle ID1,2.customer 5 has a car there 1st car but the database gives is a ID of 3.I want this customer to ID 1 for car one.My problem might be because it was set in the database as Unique Identifier.Maybe I should make the license plate the unique identifier.

at run time in SALES ORDER i saw that the CUSTOMERis not available in that combo then i want to add new customer there which save in my CUSTOMER data base WITH OUT LOSSING WHT EVER I INSERT IN SALES ORDER.
I've done some research into this using the MSD website; I have found that my applicaiton saves the Customer Details to the Customer File, but only as (spaces). No data is present in the file.
I'm creating an application that saves Customer data to a file. Once the Data is saved into the file, how would i then get it from the file into a ListView?

I have a customer and booking data sets on my form. customer id is a foreign key in booking table .but when i click delete button. it gives me an error: The DELETE statement conflicted with the REFERENCE constraint "FK_Booking_Customer". The conflict occurred in database "photoshoot", table "dbo.Booking", column 'Cust_id'. The statement has been terminated. Its a one to many relation between customer and booking. one customer can make many bookings each booking will belong to only 1 customer.

VS 2008 VB/I've implemented an interface to a .com program written in c++. I'm trying to access a data structure array(uNewValues) of type PLCCOMMLib.ANALOG_CONTIN. uNewValues should be a datastructure array of several elements (iSigIDCount). My problem is I only get the first array element of the datastructure.I've tried several methods and looked into marshalling but don't understand how to implement marshalling if that is the correct option.

I am storing a session variable that a user types into a textbox. With their valid input, their session gets created and they get a little more functionality than the regular end users of the site.I was wondering if it is possible to find a way to add someone's session variable to the end of a URL. This way we can email a link to one of our clients, they click it, and their session has automatically begun. They already have the textbox to enter their code into, but I was told that it would be much easier for the users to just click a link that will start their session.

On startup of my software which i developed in vb.net, it connects to mssql server. I want to have session id or session number of the connection with mssql. I'm sure it is unique number and i want to use this session in my software for different purposes. My question is
1. is there anything like session id or session unique number when you connection mssql server
2. if yes to 1 then how i can get it in vb

The task at hand was to remove all session variables. What would be the best way to represent this data without the use of session. Originally i was told to put all session items into a cookie, while this worked for most of the items it will not work for this due to the cookie size limitation, Im also not to keen on the idea of keeping it in ViewState or even if that is an option. Im very new to VB and dont have much expierence re-writting legacy code. Session is not an option because this is being moved into a web-farm and Sticky sessions are turned off so it must work without session.

Im using ms-acess 2007 as database and this issue is ridiculous.i run the FORM and enter some details ! and now i click display and display the data that was entered! this thing happens while im DEBUGGING sometimes when i stop debugging and debug again the data that was stored previously its not even getting displayed!! and its not even present in the actual database ! this doesn't happen every time!! this is weird and i dont understand , whats causing this issue?

View 6 Repliesive made changes to my data stored in the database for a login i.e. ive changed the password that is stored in the database however for my application to continue the previous password still has to be used does anybody know why and how to change this, this also is the case for new entry's in the database i.e. new users. I also had an update button that also no longer works i think this is because of the same problem. I think the problem is that its saving the data changes from the update to the data set and not the database its self can this be changed?

I am having trouble retrieving data from a stored procedure that I have set up as a Data Adapter using VB.NET 2005. The Database is SQL Server 2000, and what I am trying to access is a simple Stored Procedure that will validate a users login access. [code] I have a dataset set up as AdjustmentsDataSetspValidateLogin. I am trying to figure out in code how I can address this using a table adapter or how I can capture from a login form I have created the UserID and pass this value to the stored proc to return the current record, if any of the user.I initially setup a Dataset and dragged the dataset onto a form. Then I deleted the data navigator and the toolbar that was created by default so that I could just pass values to the Stored Proc. I also have the table adapter setup to return a table "LoginData" with the two fields Approver & Admin when I pass a userID.But I am having difficulty addressing the table adapter in code and pulling back the data values for the UserID I'm passing to the DataSet.Does anyone have any ideas on how I can call this stored proc and get the data values returned?
