App - Added The Form Class Code And The Designer Code
May 25, 2009I've been working on a project the last couple of day with the help of a lot of you out there. I've more or less finished the design of the interfase, but there are stange this happening with the form. I can say much about what is wrong because I dont understand it, but I would like to. I have added the form Class code and the Designer Code, is that enough or is more required? Theres a msgbox that popup in the form Load event which I placed there to see what I could learn about the GraphicsBuffer.

The edit list that comes with combobox will only hold a little over 1700 lines, so I used the combobox1.items.add to the (form1 events - load) code. Now I have access to all 3000 + vendor names in the ComboBox1. But if I design an add vendor form, how would I code it, so the vendor would be added to the bottom of the items.add list in the code?

Sep 24, 2011Whats the best way to organize code responsible for Form's content.In my case, there is a DataGridView and list, next to it, with a few options available (projects, managers, employees, etc...). Choosing any list's element fills DataGrid with proper data from database.Now, GridFill functions + handling of all add/delete/edit buttons of each list element gives quite a code in the Form's source, which bothers me a bit. How to split it then to avoid problems in the future? While googling, I've seen some advices to use partial classes, modules or just classes. Moving all functions relating the Projects, Managers, ... , to own separate class sounds like a nice idea but then comes the question how to pass all necessary data to the class functions.

Apr 26, 2010I am writing a relatively simple "yahtzee" program. Its set up so that the user can pull up a options window and select whether they want the game to be 1 or 2 players. If the user selects 2 players id like the second players score card to become visible on the Score Card window (easy enough with the visible property) and i would like the Score Card form itself to resize it self (at run time) to allow the second players score card to fit. Sep 13, 2011i am in runtime mode and have a form open. I do some calculations on it and based on those i generate some lines of VB code (concatenated and saved in a local variable). Is there a VB command that i can use that will take this code and INSERT it into another form?
i could copy the code, exit runtime, go to design mode and paste it into the form myself but because i want to do this for several subs for a lot of forms then it will become very time consuming.

Copy The Form And Code From One Program Into Another?
Mar 26, 2012I have two programs.One is a program that is used at the end of the day to submit cash, check and credit card values to the home office.This is used in 10 retail locations. Each store also fills out a deposit slip manually and faxes a copy of the clip to the home office. I have another program I wrote for my church that allows us to enter checks and cash collected during the offering each Sunday and print a deposit slip.
I want to combine these two programs.I tried by creating a new project and adding these two project to it.That works except as I make changes to the screens and codes it modifies the original programs.I don't want this.How can I combine these two projects (code and screens) into one and save it with a different name? I am using Visual Basic Express.
