I have a table with dates in mysql that I want to populate a vb calendar with as events, or "active" days.Using a sql statement with something like

how do I put these as events on my calender

View 5 RepliesI am working on a page where I need to highlight different events in a day with different colors in a ASP.NET Calendar Cell. The events are store in a database with a start date column.
For example, if we have two different events for today, the cell should display half green and half red color. If there are three events for today, it would 1/3 green, 1/3 red, 1/3 blue in the cell for today.
In addition, currently I use tooltip in jquery to hover a cell, it would display a tooltip above the cell. How to handle this when we have different events in one cell?
I am trying to make a reminder, but i can't figure out one thing. Anybody out there knows how? I would like my reminder to have a function when you select one date it automaticaly adds 2 reminders up to the day of the event. For example if you select the event at date 24 it would automatically add two events at the calendar at the dates 17 and 10.

But how do i get the child nodes to the treeview from my childtable?I have parentnodes in one table and childnodes in another.. Or is it better to have em all in one table? My problem is with the tickets table, I have listed the user that created the ticket, the tech who will solve the ticket and a user that over sees the ticket. All three users reference the users table. So how do I can I query the tickets table and get all three users that reference the same table storing the users?

How can I update local dataset with mysql database without making duplicates. Assuming I set some column in mysql as primary key, which has unique string.
adapter.fill will just add duplicates, but adapter.clear before that is not an option.
So I want to update if the key column is the same with mysql data and if there is option for ignore adding new row.

View 5 RepliesI have a table on my SQL DB call ReportList which is a list of report. I need to go through that list and interrogate the reportserver, eport by report, to populate a table called ReportParameters. The ReportParameters table has a column for ReportOwnerID which needs to contains the ReportID value of the corresponding (owner) report as listed in the ReportList table.
It needs to work so:- I have a listbox of the reports as per REportList and a GridView that list all the parameters (uniquely - most of the parameters are common to many reports) the idea being that the parameters get set once and the report can be kicked off by selecting them in the ReportList CheckListBox and clicking on Execute. I would like it that as I click on a particular report in the ListView, the relevant parameters in the Gridview get a green background and those that do not apply are red. The leftmost column in the gridview contains tha Parameter NAME (not editable) and the next column must be editable to populate the value.
Done so far: I have tried on clicking the Execute button, to build a parameters string in a testbox and call that with the Javascript OpenReportWin() function when I open the report in a new window. This works fine, but my biggest issue it interrogating the reportserver reports to get back a list of parameters and dooping them into a table. I have tried to use a hidden DataGrid bound to a ds onto the reportParamaters table.
I have tried to populate it using a datalist but I cannot get the hang of these thionsg and its looking messy. Their must be a simple clean way of getting the .GetParameters resultset back from the report server and populating the table without having to create a reportviewer object and cycling through the list of reports - it then has to render each report before you can get that list out.
