Retrieve A List From Sharepoint Using Lists() Web Services?
Jun 12, 2012So I've been trying to retrieve a list from sharepoint using Lists() web services and then displaying the list on a datagrid. However I am having some weird problem. My code so far is

1) It also displays a column called "ows_owsHiddenversion" which I have no idea where it's coming from.2) The order of the columns that are displayed are different from the order in the sharepoint site.3) I have a column called "DONE?" and it is a choice type with the options of choosing 'Yes' or 'No'. But for some reason, in the datagrid, the column under DONE is all blank and I cant figure out why all the 'Yes's and 'No's are not showing up. All the other values for the other columns appear fine.4) I am sorting the data from the sharepoint list by the "Division" column which is fine but the header of the column in the datagrid is labeled "Title". I checked the XmlNode outer and inner xml and for some reason the Field Ref is set to "Title" to represent the "Division" column
Retrieve List Of Services Running On Server?
Feb 2, 2012I'm looking for a way to get details of the name and status of all services running on a service. I did use the following code:

However, since I have packaged up my project as a WCF service, the System.ServiceProcess namespace I used cannot be used: Is there any other way I can retrieve the same details? Possibly through WMI?

May 7, 2009I am trying to write a Windows Script that will allow me to monitor the following: That 2 x seperate but specific processes within Component Services "Running Processes" list are currently running and have not reset within the past hour. If I already know the PID, then I can retrieve the CreationDate (I assume which I can use to check for restarts? or is this the actual process creation/installation date) for each specific process, however if a restart occurs the PID will change and my script needs to know what the new PID is without me telling it!

C# - Refactor Data Contracts In WCF Services?
Feb 11, 2010We have lots of WCF services that are only used by our own code; the code that uses them is mostly in the same solutions files that contains the services.
However they do not use a shared assembly for the contracts, so each time a data contract is change the reference to the service has to be updated by hand in all projects that use the service. (Then the code needs to be fixed up by hand)
So how do I do a simple refactoring like renamed a data item in a data contract?
Is there a way to update all references to services in a single solution with one command, rather then having to click on each reference in each project?

May 26, 2010It looks like they are converted to regular date types in the generated proxy object.I'd like to optionally pass null values for these dates.Other than switching to WCF (no time to learn it right now), what is the best way to handle this situation. Apr 9, 2010I have three tables in SQL server which I would like to show and access on a form. Table 1 contains account data, address, contact details etc. Table two contains data attached to a Person, tel no , Mobile no, Email etc. Table three contains details on what awards the person holds, i.e. one person can hold several awards.
Therefore I have a one many relationship between the first two tables and a one many relationship between the second two tables. This is set up in SQL
The first two tables are shown on a form, table 1 via a set of text boxes, table 2 via a datagrid control.
I would like the functionality whereby I could select a row in the datagrid showing the persons name and find the Persons_ID number then use that as a filter to a second datagrid view so that only the selected persons awards show in the datagrid.

Is there any limit to filename or the select query or there is some pattern which I need to follow?
