View 2 RepliesFirstly I apologize as my question may seems repeated to you. But I am sure the details will not. I am writing a VBScript in VB.Net to automate some operation in SAP. The script is recorded from SAP. All I need to do is to put this script under a button click event on vb.net. I have done this far. But get stuck at one point. While doing the execution of the script, SAP displays a Message Box with two button labeled "Redetermine" & "Cancel" and I have to Click on "Redetermine" button to make the script run further.
The number of appearance of this message box is not fixed. Some times it appears twice and some times more than twice. My question is "How can I detect the Message Box from my VB.Net application and automatically click on the "Redetermine" button if the message box appears"?
I have a button and inside my button I have an image control. When the users click on the image I'd like to animate the button so it appears the button was pressed. I don't really care whether the actual button press event fires or not--it's the illusion of a button press I want to see. The only options I see on the web involve writing directly to the Windows API--a level of complexity and non-upgradability I really don't want to get into.

I'm adding a SDE feature class into ArcMap and before it adds in I have to click the ok button on the "Connection Details" Window. Is there a way to click the ok button by code? I was thinking maybe it could be done by using Window notification code (e.g. code below), however I'm not seeing any option for button click Ok or Cancel. I would like to make a vb.net form with buttons on it that each button when clicked executes the same program. However the kicker is I want the DOS output to be displayed within the form along with a scrolling bar to the right of the window so a person can scroll thru the outputted DOS window. Does that make sense?

I have a UserControl, we'll call it myUC, that is one among several UserControls in the main window(myWindow) of my WPF application. myUC contains a number of standard controls, one of them being a button, we'll call it myButton.
When I click myButton, I would like to execute myMethod, which exists in the code-behind of myWindow.
The problem being that myUC doesn't have any idea that myWindow even exists, much less that myMethod exists.
How can I send the message: 'Hey, myWindow, wake up. myButton on myUc was just clicked; run myMethod'?

I didn't find any solution for the problem but found a hack in Control.ModifierKeys, this works until now!
I need to create a program that can run code each time the user clicks, I can't use windows forums since its on another program. If the code can detect global mouse clicks(system wide) or only on one program it's fine.
I've done some digging and it looks like windows API can solve my problem but i really suck at using windows API and it looks like SetWindowsHookEx() can solve my problem but i don't know how to use it correctly. This is the code from Pinvoke that I modified to hopefully work for a mouse click. i'm having trouble getting this to work.

I need to create a form where AlwaysOnTop = True when the browser is visible. This creates some sort over "overlay". The logic works like this:
The program checks which window is active.If the active windows is a certain process, my form will initialize the TopMost utility, and be the active window itself. When the certain process is not the active window anymore, my form will disappear.

My program checks if a browser is the active window, if so: the form gets topmost and the program stops checking what the active window is. (because my topmost form is the active window now).Now the program needs to check what the window under my form is, the second active window. If it's not the browser anymore, the form needs to hide, and the program will check what the active window is again.
I already completed the function that checks what the first active window is, I'm stuck on getting the function that checks what the second active window is.
I have implemented tab control on an existing form by using form designer and copying button from an existing vb application. my goal is to run a piece of code when a button on a tab page is sellected. I am trying to find the handle of the child window for the Yes button in the User Account Control window so i can click it. This window has a structure with a few child windows with the same name.

There are multiple CtrNotifySink with its own Button child window or other child windows. How do i search thru the different CtrNotifySink window to find the one that contain the Yes button so i can send a click to it? I do need to find it before i can send a click, right? because i try just sending it to the main window with sendmessage and nothing happen.I even try sending it directly to the handle found by spy++ of the yes button with bm click but nothing happen?
I am looking to prompt the user to save data when they close a form window in a winforms application. I can't figure out how to trigger the prompt to the user, should they click the red box at the top right corner of the form.
My application currently has a boolean flag, that is set to True on textchanged event. So I will only need to check for the boolean value in whatever event is trigger by the red box.

Whenever I enter text, even a single character, into a textbox in any Form in my application it causes the form and its parent to close. I've checked for the following so far:
