I have a FileUpload with a RegularExpressionValidator with the following Validation Expression

in page load of an ASP.net page but on the client side i a m getting the following screen in firefox 3.5 You can observe that the file name and file type are shown as empty fields. The ok and cancel buttons are not doing anything.This happens only in firefox 3.5, it is working in firefox later versions and other browsers.I tried clearing the Response with Response.Clear(), using Response.BinaryWrite with the file byte array and even tried to open the file with the javascript by calling window.open(url).

i have a dropdownlist which has a linq datasource ...and i have inserted 2 items "All Batch" and "Choose" from the codebehind manully...in case of mozilla firefox "Choose" is automatically selected as default in the dropdownlist but in case of IE6 the default selection in dropdownlist is blank but the items are there if we scroll the list.

In IE, this is working correctly, but in firefox and safari the page refreshes (due to the window.parent.location) - but never calls the doPostBack (i was able to tell this using tracepoint and the sub that is called stores values to the database, the values are not being stored as well, sub is never hit). Below is the first line of the sub.

View 10 RepliesI have written a generic file serving handler in asp.net/vb.net..I recently moved to a windows 7 box and am now debugging under IIS7, and this is where the problems occure.Whenever I serve a file to either FireFox or Chrome (IE8 works fine) from IIS 7, the download will fail.
- In FireFox the error is "[some file name and path].part could not be saved, because the source file could not be read."
- In Chrome the error is "Error 330 (net::ERR_CONTENT_DECODING_FAILED): Unknown error."
- In IE8 it works fine
If I run the same code in IIS6, it works fine.If I run the same code in the Visual Studio virtual web server, it works fine (on windows 7 or XP).I am rather concerned about this as our production web server will soon be IIS7; which I'm starting to really love, and would hate to revert to IIS6 just because this won't work in IIS7.I've tried a number of different patterns.It seems to always fail on the Flush() line with the error "System. I'm running an FTP Server using Golder FTP Server, which is freeware. I think it's setup correctly because connecting to the FTP Server using the exact same string as above using Windows Explorer works great.
Alright here's my situation: I have a form. This is a very small form that can be moved with the mouse (formborderstyle=none). The transparencyKey is 0,0,1. The form back color is 0,0,1. There is a label on the form. I drag files to this label(its backcolor is black[0,0,0]). What I want is for the filesize to be checked. I already have the uploading to ftpcode, I just want to know if the file is above my limit I set. (250mb per file)

There is a problem with URI that I give, it says "Expression does not produce a value" on line 3. where "uriString" used. When I used myWebClient.UploadFile(String,String) it freeze on sending, so I found out, that to continue code execution I have to use "UploadFileAsync", but it does not provide [String,String], but it requires [Uri,String].

I'm uploading a log file with .log ext to my server after my program is done running. I have noticed a lot of systems fail to upload the log file because of the firewall settings of their modem.
