From this aspcode.net page at the bottom (under attachments) you can download the project.For some reason when I run it the Close Button and the Next and Previous Buttons don't work. Well I mean it does work but it does not show the actual images. Can anyone figure it out? It should be easy but I just cant get it to work.
View 2 RepliesHow come when I design a form it isn't displayed properly on certain computers in the fact that buttons near the bottom go of the bottom of the window. I beleive this only happens with Windows XP however it might be due to screen resolution, I haven't troubleshooted it much.
View 7 RepliesI have used couple of images on various button and label controls. I imported them by "Add Resources" window from project properties window.Everything is quite well at design time. But at runtime, no image is shown on those controls. I tried it from properties window. Then also tried from runtime by using "Button1.image=My.Resources.ImageName". But all are in vein.I did not change that application directory.

I have got a serious problem and I cant solve it. Images on my form are not displayed during debugging. When I build the application, there is no problem. But in debug mode no images are displayed. What can I do about it?

View 2 RepliesI am making a program that takes pictures of the webbrowser control on a set timer and save them in a picturebox.. I then use backgroundworkers to check the images against others stored in the program. My issue is, the backgroundworkers do not properly check the images against the ones I have stored in the program.Could this be because the images and picturebox are stored on the main thread, and no in a background worker?In other words, I am taking picture from my webbrowser and putting them in my picturebox. Then, I am comparing them with images already in the images. The only problem is, the workers are unable to properly compare the images.

When a user clicks the + button on the binding navigator, I want to set the displayed item of acombobox to the value displayed in a label. The combobox is bound to a field in the table. Theproblemis that when the user clicks to add a new record the combobox is cleared and they forget to select a value before they click save.

the following code however keeps the Image File locked until the application is running, any suggestions how to dispose it properly. (So that no handle is left open )

The idea is to scan a folder of images and then let the user navigate back and forth through the images using a couple of buttons.The problem is, I can only get it to return a single image, and not the whole lot. It has to deal with LOTS of images (100's potentially) There will be the set of default images, and then the user created replacement images. I started loading all the defaults into a resx file... thinking then I could just pull them out. now that I started setting the default, this sucks! lol the app will do this, on load it will set all the images (variables) to the resx images then when a theme is loaded, it will replace the default with the user image (if the user img exists) otherwise, the default stays. I was thinking to make an app to save images [or download images] to local hard disk. But to keep it easy, I want this app to create a small picturebox on form to show the thumbnail of downloaded image. Lets say a 5 pictureboxes has to be added with the thumbnails to show the recent downloads. A user can save the location where he wants to save the files on hard disk. A listbox or a dropdown menu will help in categorizing the images, like image1 in friends section, image2 in family section, image3 in others, etc... When the program restarts all the latest 5 thumbnails has to be loaded in pictureboxes and the directory that was chosen. Finally, a button that shows the downloaded images into original image file size one by one or a slide show. Is it possible to make such program?

It didn't disappear. I restarted visual studio, closed all open classes. It is just visual basic, when I try with c# I can hide and show it.

I'm learning WPF, and NavigationWindow in particular. I want to add stuff to the window, like a status bar, a favorite bar, etc. Unfortunately when I try adding anything, I get an error.
I'm hoping there might be a way that pages can be bookmarked as someone browses between them; let the user drag pages up to a favorite bar.
Something similar with the status bar; I'd like to have page specific information on the status bar, without having to have it on each individual page.
Is this possible with a navigation window, or am I barking up the wrong tree?

I ended up putting the status bar on the individual pages, so that I can more easily change what's displayed from page to page, but the tool bar behaves nicely with the frame.
I have a database with 2 tables master and detail, the detail has a picture field and the PK and FK. I use this code to navigate through the records, is there any simpliest way?
