So I've got this context menu working out except that the event behind the actual selection of the menu item seems to fire multiple times. First time I click it, it fires once, then twice, then 3 times. So, in the example I just gave, for 3 clicks it would have fired a total of 6 times (1 + 2 + 3). Why is that?
Below is my code on how I'm creating the menu items. I stripped it down to the relevant pieces; I omitted things like .Tag, .Visible, and .Caption properties. I'm building this using .NET 3.5 and VS 2008.

I have yet another Problem with the save button on my form. After filling out all the textbox's, Selecting the date from dateTimePicker Selecting comboBox's Items I get an Error message saying: "Column 'JobID' does not allow nulls". "(I thought this ID column Inserted a number automatically").

So far I have 4 labels.
Label1 = Current date and time.
Label2 = Contains the exact time that the application was last closed.
Label3 = Contains the exact time that the application was opened.
Label4 = I want this label to say how much time in seconds had elapsed between the application last being closed and the application being opened again, in other words the difference in seconds between label 2 and label 3.
Below is what I have done so far, but despite repeated efforts I can't seem to find a way of getting the time difference to show in label 4?

i am having a weird issue with VS 2008 when i go to debug my program. When i click on the play button to run the program it flashes real quick and goes back to the VB IDE. No matter how many times i click on the play button it continually flashes and then goes back without displaying my form window or anything.What type of setting would i need to change in order to correct this issue? I've been through most settings in the "my project" section and i do not see anything that could be causing it to do something like this.My older vb apps I've made seem to work just fine when i click the play button on them. Only noticed this problem whenever i go and make a new vb app.

The script is recorded from SAP. All I need to do is to put this script under a button click event on vb.net. I have done this far. But get stuck at one point. While doing the execution of the script, SAP displays a Message Box with two button labeled "Redetermine" & "Cancel" and I have to Click on "Redetermine" button to make the script run further.
The number of appearance of this message box is not fixed. Some times it appears twice and some times more than twice. My question is "How can I detect the Message Box from my VB.Net application and automatically click on the "Redetermine" button if the message box appears"?

View 12 RepliesBack in Visual Basic 6.0 and prior I could have a picturebox control and then have multiple images on that and using a gif file; then I'd have some images transparent. For example, I am trying to make a map where each country has it's own layer and the void is transparent so the underlying picturebox contains all the water.
However, in visual studio I've noticed the image control is now gone. I tried using a panel and a picturebox on top of that and it works but I can't use another picturebox on top of that picturebox, nor can I stack multiple panels with the same affect.

I've been working on this project for two weeks now and I'm drained from all the hiccups I've come across. Problem: I have to figure out a way to allow a customer to place an order form for multiple items. (I'll assume that a customer will not place an order for more than 20 items).
