I am having trouble getting my form to click the login button on a website. I can get my username and password to load into the sites text boxes but I auto click the button . I have been trying different code for weeks and I have let that button whoop-me. Please Help. This is my main form and my code as of now.
>Private Sub lblPass_Click(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs)
End Sub
Private Sub btnGet_Click(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles btnGet.Click
login1.ShowDialog()
I'm having no luck at all clicking the login button of a websiteI frequently spend time on. The login button has no "name or "ID" and I just cannot get it to login. I have my username & password entered in into the sites textboxes and I can see them there but , thats where it sits. my program will not click the button.
I've been trying to automate clicking of a few buttons in a website but although i have achieved success in most of the web pages but on one such page i haven't been able to click it.I've been using this syntax to click:
Dim ele As Object For Each ele In WebBrowser1.document.getElementsByTagName("input") If ele.Value = "Attack!" Then ele.Click:
I am navigating to a web page and when I programicly click a button to go to the next page that next page is constantly refreshing over and over.Is there anyway to stop the page from refreshing constantly?
I hv to create a login for my windows appn(this is the first tym i am creating a login in visual studio) i am unable to figure out exactly what should i do
I tried the following:
Public Function User_Login(ByVal unam As String, ByVal pwd As String) As Boolean ada = New OleDbDataAdapter("Select * from UserProfile where UName='" + unam + "' and
[CODE]...
Now i called this function on the button click of my login form and passed the values of username and password textboxes as parameters to it. But the problem arising is that it is logging in by simply clicking the button irrespective of what is entered in the username and password textboxes.
I think this is because ds.Tables.Count is never 0(whether the username and password match or not) Use code tags when posting your code. Code tags are used like so =>
So I should be able to use "getelementbytagname" right? Also, the formId is logmein (log me in)
<form id="logmein"....
This is what I came up with:
Dim webbrowserDocForm As HtmlElementCollection = WebBrowser1.document.GetElementsByTagName("logmein") For Each curElement As HtmlElement In webbrowserDocForm Dim controlValue As String = curElement.GetAttribute("Value").ToString
[code]....
in the next code it's tagname is "input" or "text"? Because I found:
webbrowserDocForm = WebBrowser1.document.GetElementsByTagName("text") For Each curElement As HtmlElement In webbrowserDocForm Dim controlName As String = curElement.GetAttribute("name").ToString
[code]....
It doesn't give me any errors no more, but it doesn't work either.
When the user clicks the Exit button it closes the forms and if there was an open file it asks the user is they would like to save. But after the application closes there is still memory being held in Processes by the application. However, when pressing the [X] in the top of the form the application closes again but in this instance it is not held in Processes. How do I write the close for Exit to take into account how the [X] works and close the application cleanly?
Friend Sub CloseAllForms() CloseHelpForm(True) CloseDiagForm()[code].....
I can now navigate to pages, fill forms, submit forms, click elements etc.My next big step will be collecting html element ID's which are constantly different each time I navigate to a page.On the webpage I am working on, each page contains 10 of these ID's.
Now I am just looking to click on one of them at random for right now. It doesn't matter which one. Or perhaps the first one to appear on the webpage. Here is the code that I tried first........it works fine for clicking static buttons (without the random id #'s at the end)
Dim ill As HtmlElement = WebBrowser1.Document.GetElementById("ill_btn_") ill.InvokeMember("click") End Sub
I guess what I am looking for here is some sort of partial id tag, to let it know to search for the first ID that begins with ill_btn_ ?
I am developing a small software to load an excel file to a website and then create a .kmz file. I have a login control in my asp.net webform i uses the roles manager...i have two roles admin and vendors i want when user enter username and password in login control then on login button click event it validates either the user is admin or vendors if vendor is admin then it will redirect to default.aspx other wise stay on login page with error. ...how to do this using vb.net ?
I believe there wont be any diff if user clicks the button on the form and the click event is fired OR if we call the button click event / function in the code. Because in one my project, this does make diff. If I click the button on the form, the App works great but same button if I click it thru the form code, the whole process crashes. This happens in Vista / VB.net.
I need to make a super simple web-page monitoring tool in VB.Net that checks FieldNation.com every few minutes for new work orders. To do that, I need to log in to their page. I think I can figure out how to read the page once I'm logged in, but how can I actually log in? I heard it had something to do with WebClient.

I am new to programming and trying to create an application to login to a website and download a report automatically. I am stuck at the login part. What i have so far:

I am trying to create an application that will login our company's intranet portal via a webpage. The webpage has a single frame in it that loads a secure(https) login form. After logging in, the application will need to read and send xml to and from the portal. I have been digging around and have seen a few different ways of submitting the login information from the program to the site, however, I have not gotten any of them to work. From what I can tell it is difficult to change the values of input boxes that are inside a frame. Am I accurate on this? There will be a large amount of data transfer between the app and the portal so I will need something lightweight but I have enough room that I would rather not reinvent the http/web-browser wheel if at all possible. The reason I say that is because I have read that some objects that handle web pages are very resource hungry. I have no preference on the .net frameworks as this is the area of VB thats kinda confusing. What I am looking for is either a point or violent shove in the right direction.
[URL] but then with the option to provide username & password. I have managed to do this with the webbrowser, first logging in then go to webpage and get source code but this takes much longer than just getting the source code...
Is there any way to do this? I found this:
[URL]
I tried with &username=...&password=... in the URL but it didn't work
I have WebBrowser1 and this code on a button: WebBrowser1.Navigate(URLBox.Text) That all works fine and I can enter text and go to the webpage. How do I:
1. Check for when the page has finished loading?
2. Auto populate 2 fields on the webpage and click login?
I have a message box pop up if a practice doesnt exist in my application. However, the user MUST select 'OK' on the message box to accept the message. When you use enter button on the keyboard it doesnt work.Is there anyway I can allow enter button also to be used rather than ONLY clicking 'OK' button.
If saved_prac = "" Then MsgBox("This Practice doesn't exist", MsgBoxStyle.Information, "GCPM") End If
