THATS my code and when i change my num to 20 it does not print 150?
My code gets a list of words from a txt file and chooses the words randomly. However, the same word can appear more than once and i need to know how to stop this from happeningHere is the code:

We have a dataset dsActualCost which fetches query value: MonthName in one column and Cost in another.We have a code to display data in table format.

This code works fine when,we have data in all rows.we have no data at all But it gives exception for all other cases.I tried to debug and issue arises when it searches for any row which is not available in DB. Say the dataset has only 2 rows for Feb month,so when it executes line
IsDBNull(dsActualCost.Tables(0).Rows(2).Item(1))
It throws Db null exception.
I'm very very very new to VB.Net and am doing a class project. I want the user to simply clicka print button and get a printout of an existing Word document. Is this possible and if so, can someone suggest the code?

View 3 RepliesI got 2 LABELS and ONE BUTTON... when i press the button, it fills both labels with a random number from 1 - 6.ild like to do it like this... you press the button then a little prograss bar starts running for 3 or 4 seconds... and THEN after it reached the bars max i want it to show the numbers in the Labels...
the second thing is...i want to make 2 checkboxes next to the labels... if you mark the first checkbox, next to the first label... and the outcome is that the number of the first label is BIGGER then the other one.. you should get some kind of a msgbox.. i know how to make a msg box... but i dont know the code for vb to check if label1 is > or < than label2....

I wanna put the snippet to a class, everytime I call logMsg method to log my message with line number in source code.But I found if I put the snippet above into a class, the line number was always same, that's the line which I new 'st'.The function is exact same with _LINE macro in C++. I'm developing an application to monitor print queue and pause it to check some conditions, then resume or cancel print job. I can get total pages for printing document but can't get number of copies, how can i get this parameter.
Ex. If someone print 5 pages document for 2 copies, the total pages i got is 5 not 10 pages. (how can i get the real total pages)

I have no problem printing an Express shipping label.The ground shipping label doesn't want to put the tracking number in the label.Has anyone had a similar problem? View 2 RepliesI'm getting familiar now with using the Dataset Designer and how it makes for quick and easy updates and query of tables. I use to use the OleDB commands and leave the Connection String as a Global Constant so I can easily change it if the server name changes, or if we have to re-direct the .NET to another instance of the database.
But now that I use the Dataset designer I'm concerned that I maintain flexibility and support in the long run. how the Dataset designer works and where it stores it's connection string info? And how difficult that would be to update. It looks like I modify the App.config file, but I'm unfamiliar with this.
What am I getting myself into? It looks like a standard XML file. Is that it?

Issue is that when the rich textbox contains text that is spread over multiple lines, it prints as one massive line, which obviously disappears off the edge of the page.
how can i get it to print with line breaks?
I've inherited a project in VB6.NET 2008. There is a Panel control where graphs are drawn along with titles, axes, legends etc. What is drawn on the panel is also printed WYSIWYG (on a print command, of course) The problem I have is that the code for printing is entirely separate to the code for drawing. I want to merge the two so that common code is used. I'd like to work in the same units for both, which means setting either the pixels per inch for the Graphics object for the printing (so I can work in pixels) or doing the equivalent of the opposite so I can work in inches (printed inches, not screen inches).
