Setup DataTableAdapters To Allow For Easy Code Change When Change Server Names?

I'm getting familiar now with using the Dataset Designer and how it makes for quick and easy updates and query of tables. I use to use the OleDB commands and leave the Connection String as a Global Constant so I can easily change it if the server name changes, or if we have to re-direct the .NET to another instance of the database.
But now that I use the Dataset designer I'm concerned that I maintain flexibility and support in the long run. how the Dataset designer works and where it stores it's connection string info? And how difficult that would be to update. It looks like I modify the App.config file, but I'm unfamiliar with this.
What am I getting myself into? It looks like a standard XML file. Is that it?

My app currently uses Interop.ADODB.dll to retrieve data from an access database.My compiled setup file has to include a Interop.ADODB.dll file for the software to work.What would i have to do in order to convert my app to drop the interop file by using Ado.net instead?Would it simply be a matter of changing the references and connection strings or does it involve alot more than that?

I'm developing a Windows form. It contains textboxes, checkboxes and so on. When I move these controls (e.g. cut & paste from one frame to another in the same form), their names do not change (and it's good of course) but their function and event names are changed. Why it happens? How to avoid it? It causes me to move all functions from the old control to the new one. It's a lot of work and very annoying.

I have hundreds of .pdfs that I downloaded that have names that are not helpful at first glance. Part of the download was a 'key' that lets me know which file belongs to which person (I have this in excel). I'd like to know if there is a vb script out there (or one I could get help writing) that would look in a folder and rename the files based on the accompanying spreadsheet.

I am creating a VB windows form applications , the working can be summarized as users fills some form and data is saved in sql server database.Now the problem i am facing is that i have to deliver this as a setup file to someone, and that person will further distribute it to different users to run on their PC, what i am thinking is that the code once installed on other computers and executed will give errors because of the connection string of sql server db as it will not match with that computer . I know that if a distribute projects i can put connection string in app.config and every user can change it according to his/her machine .But as i am giving a setup file how to solve this problem

It's just a small calculator project so it's no big deal, but after I had built the project, I wanted to change the project name and all the file names that had that string in it (and all internal references to that string). I had played with this before and knew that it was asking for trouble but I thought, "What the hell, I'll try it again." feeling a bit brash.
Well, everything works fine in debug mode, but there is this DOS window that pops up just before the main form does, and it doesn't go away for the entire debugging session. I think I see that window pop up on all other projects too (if the main form doesn't cover it up completely), but normally, it's only there for a split second.

I tried to make the same functionality with the C#.net and Also using VB.net. But the below mentioned code returns control name with an underscore as prefix. But I don't want underscore. Code is actually written in Class library. It works perfectly in C#.

how to do it through my VBA code, or at least tell me which MSDN forum would know how?I've created a Vista "Network Location" (an XP "Network Place") which I'll call "portalToServer" which behaves as a kind of FTP portal into a web server.Manually, I can very easily drag a file (e.g., test.txt) from my destop and drop it onto this "portalToServer" object in my Computer folder, and magically a copy of the file is FTP'd to the server.How can I do this copy task programmatically in VBA???I have found that this object is actually stored in a folder at: [code] (or any variation that expands that explicitly, with or without trailing , with or without destination file name appended) returns a path not found error error 76, I think it was.(FYI, I've confirmed a line like ' FileCopy "C est.txt", "C: ext2. txt" 'does copy files.)I've also observed that if I use either a DOS window or the Run command (with CMD /c prefix) to do a COPY with those arguments, it reports success but actually fails.These DOS-like modes actually place a copy of the test.txt file in a "portalToServer" folder (in this example) on my PC which also contains a "target.lnk" file which I assume points to the FTP site on my server.(I can navigate to that into folder in the DOS window to see inside it.) I have two combobox in a form: Cb1 and Cb2
When I load the form, Cb1 and Cb2 are connected to a bindingsource.
When I change Cb1, the code (below) changes Cb2 to show only the items according to Cb1
This is working fine.
The problem is when I change Cb1 , change Cb2 and click the save button..... Cb2 seems to be 'lost'...
I'm using VS2008.
