I'm making a program that I need to put a button in that when you click it it sends the writing in form1's textbox1 one to the email you type in dialog1's textbox1.

I need to get just the date and times from this list, and put them in variables. so that I'll end up with:
1) A string with a value as a date, which would be "10 January, 2011" for example: strDate1 would have the value of "10 January, 2011"
2) A start time, for example: strStartTime1 would have the value of 9:45
3) An end time, for example strEndTime1 would have the value of 18:00
I have a windows form in Visual Studio 2008. The window is built over the top of a background that I made in photoshop and imported into my form. A Tab contol sits on top of this background..and on the form as well, and I have textboxes inside of this TabContol panel.
I do not know what extension to put in when I am setting up my SaveFileDialog1.
I dont think I can tell it to save it as a txt file cuz technically the only text that would be put on it is the text they type in on the text boxes (that sit inside a TabControl) Is is possible or even feasible to use just *.* or All Files...lol..or even Application?
I have Form1 that has a textbox and a button. When user clicks the button in Form1, Form2 opens up with a label control that carries the value of textbox in Form1.
What i did is set the textbox modifier of Form1 to Public, but when i call the textbox name of Form1 in Form2, i get an error that says "The name "txtbx1" doesn't exist in the current context". I wonder why since i already set the modifier of txtbx1 to Public.
Quick Note: i tried to instantiate Form1 in Form2 as:
Form1 f1 = new Form1();
and then call
f1.txtbx1.text
The odd thing is Form1 could not be instantiated (not highlighting occurs). On the other hand if i do Form2 f2 = new Form2(); Form2 gets highlighted!
This is how i show Form2 from Form1:
SetSalary salForm = new SetSalary();
salForm.ShowDialog();
Note that SetSalary represents Form2.

I have some textboxes that I need to get data to on another tab, everything works beautifully until I get to one and that is where the client ID has to be filled oin to that textbox. I have a chkBox that will verify the data that is suppose to be put over intothe tabbed page and if I check it, it will put the data into the textbox. Yet if I leave it unchecked the data does not get copied.

Everything works fine except for that when I change the labels, it uses the entire file path, and I ONLY want the file name. How would I be able to get JUST the file name?

Now I'd like to make another score sheet application for a different card game with more people.I would like Form1 to have a textbox which the user may put a number in. Then on a button click that would take me to Form2 which would have the same amount of textboxes (name of player) as the user indicated on the first form.Eventually I'd like to build a UserControl (which would house the scoring for one player) and have Form3 populate with the same amount of UserControls as Form1.textbox indicates.

I am working on a functionality which requires me to copy the last line of a richtextbox into a textbox, then removing certain characters. The code I am trying is below. I have on a form a richtextbox (txtMain), 2 textboxes (TextBox1, TextBox2), and a button (button1). The first time a ran it, it worked perfectly - it selected the last line, copied, pasted it into TextBox1. Then after that first time it didn't do it. Perhaps there is a simpler way to get this last line consistently into the TextBox1. Here's the code. (See below the code for a copy of the text in"Text.txt" file):

My background worker then opens form1.My backgroundworker doesnt just open it, it does alot of other stuff so don't ask why im doing it like that.My problem:When the background worker opens form1, form1 is not responding.

The amount a user inputs is save to the table. However it rounds the decimal amount. eg. 10.55 saved as 11.00 & 10.45 saved as 10.00 I'm using visual studio 2010 and vb.net
