VS 2010 Finding Text In A Textbox And Copying It To A String Variable?

I'm trying to make a program that can export my schedule into a CSV file to upload on to google calender.I need to extract some text within a textbox control. I'll show you an example.This is the text in the textbox:
I have a WinForms app with a multi-line textbox. This displays and retains (after loading from the DB) line break characters fine. However if I assign the TextBox.Text value to a string variable and then re-assign the variable back to the TextBox.Text property, the line break characters are lost and replaced with a square character (can't past them here as they just paste as a line break!)
I have a program that sorts through data and exports to excel. This works fine on a small file but when using a bigger one it runs down then repeats the same line around 1k times then moves on to wrap it up.

I'm obtaining data from a StreamReader.My StreamReader is called "reader" and I'm reading the stream with "responseOutput" like this "responseOutput = reader.ReadToEnd()" And in that bunch of text that I receive I want to FIND and EXTRACT a piece of text and then STORE that extraction in a variable of String type.Here is part of the code I'm referring to:

And here is the text or data that I'm receiving (what I'm about to show you is the result of a "MessageBox.Show(responseOutput)":
And all I want to do, is to extract a specific part of that text, which is the "PhotoId" value (I highlighted it in red), in this case the value is "8262715", and then store it in a variable (I know how to do that I just need the value).The text or data I'm receiving changes only the PhotoId everytime it's requested.
I loaded a text file to a text box, and I want the program to find a certain line containing only the strings I specify. But the text file will likely contain many of them, so I want it to pause scanning at the first line I'm looking for until I tell it to continue, then the second line, and so on. So the questions are:
1. What's the method for finding the exact line I want in a text file?
2. How do you start, pause, and resume scanning a text file line by line?
In a text file I have users add a folder using the folderbrowserdialog users then push add which appends the text with lets say they selected downloads

how can I make it so that when they push a button it seraches for downloadsname then after the = is the text to use as a string and do the same with downloadspath
Well I basically know how to read a text file, replace text then write to one. how to append text after a specified string (ie, insert text at a specified line, removing the text after a string in a line and changing it without altering other lines, etc). Can someone please tell me how I would go about adding a string after a certain string in a text file? For example:

My team wants to use a large bar code that the tester has to hold in front of the camera.
So I need to figure out how to either read the bar code, or just read the text in the bar code, which reads, "* C A M *."

I have an assignment due tomorrow, and I thought I had it all figured out but there is one question I don't know how to program. The assignment consists of a form with textboxes in which the user types info about a book (author, title, genre, etc.), which he can save to a textfile by clicking the save button. (At the moment it's not saving it to a textfile but just a 'file', which can be opened with notepad but is of no specific datatype, not sure how I do that, but is less important). I seem to be having a problem with the Format() Function. I am trying to format a string of text from a variable so that it uses commas as thousand separators, but I can't seem to get it working properly. Here's what I'm using:

When I use this code, it changes the variable's value to The strange thing is, it works fine if I use a number instead of the Variable. It also works fine if I use a "predefined numeric format" instead of my custom one. For example, if I use:
testVar = Format$(testVar, "Standard")it works just fine, but that's not what I want (otherwise I'd just do it this way.) It also works fine when I do this:
testVar = Format$(10000, And, although in the example code I've written here, it seems like I could just do it this way, in my actual program, I can't. I have to set it dynamically with the variable.

I'm looking for a way to search a string variable for two words and copy the text in between them into another variable. This needs to be done as many times as the match occurs.
I am binding a textbox's text value setting to my a variable in my configuration file. I only consider the input from this textbox to be valid if it's an integer number bigger than 1. Right now what I was doing is letting the user write whatever he wanted in the box, and I'd only let him save the settings after calling a validation function. The problem seems to be that my binding variable in the Settings class seems to be being updated as soon as the textbox is being edited, and that's a behaviour i'd like to skip. How can I do this?
