Correct File Name For The VB 2010 Express Download?

This seems really dumb but I go to this site - [URL] and click on the link for Visual Basic 2010 Express, select English as the language and I get the file vb_web.exe. The file installs Microsoft Visual Web Developer 2010 Express. All of the tools in it seem to be for web development only.Where is vb express 2010 download for creating Windows forms, console apps etc.? (or am I missing something "basic" -- sorry about that -- regarding how the 2010 version works?

I'm trying to create a simple file downloader (with GUI). I'm pretty new to Vb.net and I didn't find any usefull information about this in the books I own. All tutorials in the wild are making me more frustrated, since the snippets I use, in most cases, are different classes.What should I use? HttpWebRequest/HttpWebResponse or FileWebRequest/FileWebResponse?How do I save the ResponseStream to a file ?Is it possible to use ResponseStream to define the kind of File (FileInfo) Class to get basic file information (size, extension, etc) is it generally neccessary, if GetResponse().headers gives you most of this info ?
My code, which sucks, because I do not know how to realize the saving....

How can I download a file from my website, put it in the Application.StartUpPath, Delete the old file, and then run the new one that I just downloaded?
Also, the old file and the new file should have the same name (demo.bat), so will windows automatically replace the old one with the new one, or will I have to program it to do that?

I have a ftp download in a background session that updates to a progressbar, file download takes about 2 minutes and it works great, gives me the length that has been downloaded, total size, and the bytes remaining.I thought it would be cool to have the speed show as well but not sure I have all the info to work with, or how exactly to do it. i am creating a quiz which would be 20 questions for software design students and may use alot of code.my first problem is the score for the test, i know a friend of mine can add up the score but he cant move onto the next thread until you have got the question correct which is sort of cheating, i want to know how you create a variable and make that variable stay in all the forms and add up the score of correct and incorrect answers and come up with a final score for the user in the end.

I am trying to make a user account SQL database work with Visual Basic 2008 Express for login purposes, i.e. usernames & passwords. Plan is to host this server so people can login to use the the application and verify they have a valid account. I would like to host all the account information in SQL due to the possiblity of hundreds of users at any given time. I also need the ability to add data to the database for users registering for the first time. The SQL server will need to be able to access the SQL Server databases remote via WAN.

i'm still needing help to my "Download file names into Combobox1 from webserver's folder".I have folder at my webserver http://127.0.0.1/FolderName/ and inside my folder is alot of .txt files and here is few of them: A,B,C and D.txt file.
So when form loads i want my application download file names what are in my webserver folder TO Combobox1 then Combobox1 may look like this.

How can I download the Visual Basic 2005 (not 2008) Express Edition? The links on the VB 2005 page do not download that edition, but rather the 2008 edition. My son wants that edition to use the Facebook API on the VB Express website. The API only works with VB 2005. If VB 2005 Express is no longer available, then how about removing the mention of a FaceBook api download or give some serious instructions on how to use it with VB 2008.

I created a SQL Compact Edition .sdf file in VB 2010 Express. I set the first column in the table as a Primary Key. But can I make use of it or am I limited to scrolling all the way through the file until I find the match I want? I managed to use a primary key with a SQL server .mdf file using the FindBy statement, though as a beginner, didn't really understand what I was doing so resorted to the more simple sdf file format to get me started. Goodness me there's so much to learn about data handling, it took me days to find out I didn't need a .Net provider in the connection string for Compact Edition.

Is there a link to download the MSDN Express Library without using the [vb]setup downloader/installer? I'm using a dialup connection and I'd like to use a third porty download manager so that I can pause/shutdown/restart the download process a few times. It's 243MB, which would take about 10-12 hours on my connection. I can't tie up the phone line for this amount of time.Is there an external link to an .exe or .msi package somewhere?

I have a VB 2010 Express application that uses a .mdb and a .xml file. Both files are part of the project. I am pulling my hair out to try to figure out how to make sure that these two files are deployed with the application. So far, I have only been running in Debug mode, so I'm focused on making that work.
When I click on the Application Files button on the Publish Tab of My Project, both the mdb and xml files are visible. I have tried setting both files to Data and Include. In either case, the mdb file is copied to the bin directory when I try debugging my application. However, the xml file is not copied no matter which option I select.
How can I get the xml file to be copied into the bin directory like the mdb file?
