I want to create a treeview of a specific location, lets say D: drive. I cant seem to find any examples of how to populate a treeview with this info...
Can you anyone recommend any links with extremely easy to follow instructions, or even if its a short code perhaps an example here to get me started?
I've A treeview with parent nodes and all parents have also childrens. i need to sort only the childrens in one of the parent nodes without sorting the parent nodes in the treeview because i want to keep the order of the parents.how can i do this?
I am attempting to show a specific form using a treeview control, the nodes of which have their tag value set to an instance of the Form I need to show. The code I have in the DoubleClick event works great for the first time I show a form, but after that I get an object disposed exception. As you can see, I tried handling it by resetting the tag, but that didn't work. Is there any way I can show the form more than once without going through a switch statement anytime the exception comes up and resetting the tag to the right type of form? I'd like something nicer looking like the way I show the form.
Public Class Form1 Private Sub Form1_Load(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles MyBase.Load Dim fm2 As New Form2() Dim fm3 As New Form3() TreeView1.Nodes(0).Tag = fm2 [Code] .....
randomizing picturebox location given four points example:i have 4 picture boxes. these boxes should be place at points (145, 190) (210, 190) (290, 190) (37, 190). this will display the pictureboxes at a horizontal line. i'm adding a functionality that when i press spacebar or click a button, these coordinates will be randomized and be assigned to my four pictureboxes just like in text twist but no animations.
Im working on a way to use a Select statement to set the image of a picture box.
select case currentno case 1 PictureBox2.Image = Image.FromFile(C:UsersValued CustomerDocumentsVisual Studio 2010ProjectsChiroReportChiroReportChiroReportPnt_GuideLAT CERVlatcerv52.jpg)
[code]....
The Select statement should work fine but the path to the file i want to open doesnt. Id love a way to reference the Pnt_GuideLat Cerv directory based on where my program gets installed on the Hard drive.
I'm trying to do the following I'm not sure if it's possible using VB.NET. I want to specify default saving point for all files type for example: In my program you choose the path "C:UsersMarkusPictures" for pictures and everytime you download pictures files from website, or using skype or any other program when Save File Dialog opens up (external one not via my program or connected to vb.net just the windows default one) then it will show "C:UsersMarkusPictures" always for .jpg .gif type of files etc...
I have a bunch of controls loaded into the same row/column in a TableLayoutPanel. I only have one at controls visible property set to TRUE at a given time. I want to be able to loop through the controls that specific row/column position in the TableLayoutPanel and test for a condition (control type) and then set this control's property to TRUE and all others to FALSE. Bascially I am turning controls on/off.
I know can loop through an entire TableLayoutPanel like this:
For each control in TableLAyoutPanel.Controls Next
How do I restrict this loop to a specific row/column in the TableLayoutPAnel? Can you qualify where specifically you want to look in the container control?
I have the following code used to enter the name of a text file and then display it in a richtextbox. This is working but I would like it so that I could take out the initial part of the filename detailing the location of the filename to simply set it to the project folder, is there any way of doing this using the App.path function?
My code is as follows:
Public Class Form1 Private Sub Button1_Click(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles Button1.Click
I finished every piece of code in my program save for one tid bit, how to pull two numbers from a text file. I know how to pull lines, I know how to pull search strings, but I cant figure out this one to save my life.[code]The two numbers that I need out of this are the two ones that I put in the **'s (the asterisks are not normally there). These numbers will be different every time this sheet is generated, and the number placement might be different as well as some of the numbers could have 4 digits, 5 digits, or 6 digits.
Does anyone knows how to export/extract/copy (or whatever is the right word) a file wich is added to the soulution, on the startup of a program, like somekind of installation?

What is the best and fastest way to find the exact location(Drive/Folder) of a specific file, without scanning the whole drive. Right now, I am using those two instructions to locate EXCEL.EXE so I can properly call it with a shell command.[code]It is quite a long process, and I have to deal with some access denied folder like System Volume Information. I am quite new to VB programming.
I've created a very simple form with one button on. I need it so when the form runs, it opens in the bottom right hand corner of the screen regardless of the resolution. It also needs to be always on top of all other applications.
When the buttons pressed, i need it to close all iexplore instances and reopen a fresh instance.
I've tried to search for the answer but to no avail.
As I have no idea on how to retrieve access data at the specific location in the table, so I wrote VBA code t export the entire access database to a datagridview which is located in the form1. There's a column of datagridview contain complete address information of a image. I'm thinking a way to link image source (of form 2 or xaml file) to the the column so that the image will be displayed. is there any code to get cell value at the specific location in the table? In excel VBA, sheets("Sheetname").Cells(rownumber, columnnumber).value is used to get the cell value, but how about code for this case?
I am loading a KJV.rtf file at program startup into RichTextBoxDisplay. When I want to select, lets say, Matthew Chapter 1, I want the program to take me to Matthew Chapter 1. I know I could just load a seperate file into the rtbDisplay, but do you know how many chapters and books are in the Bible..

I want to create an Ebook with a treeview on the left and a textbox on the right so that when the user click the treeview node the corresponding page displays in the textbox and I want the user to be able to edit the text in the textbox can anyone tell me how to associate the pages with the treeview nodes, and how to save changes made in text by the user in run time.
Im making an application that needs to use an explorer-like interface to let users select directories from their hard drive, so I've got a TreeView that I load all of the folders into and I have the checkboxes on each node enabled. The problem is that there are only two states for the checkboxes so if someone selects a folder, then minimises that node then they no longer have any way of knowing that sub folders are still selected.[code...
