Nov 30, 2010I am trying to create an interface between a third party application which can make use of C/C++ DLLs, but no interface directly to .NET. What I was hoping to accomplish (not sure if possible though), is create a very basic C++ DLL (not .NET), which the third party application would call directly. This DLL would contain a basic method such as "DoSomething()". Somehow, from my .NET application, I want to "listen" to this DLL and "takeover" the DoSomething() method, and then returning the result back to the DLL, which will in turn return the result back to the calling third party application.
I don't even know if this is possible because I'm sure I would somehow have to get a hold of the memory space of the DLL as initiated by the third party application. Also, it seems that creating a managed DLL does not work, based on feedback from other individuals who have tried this.

I am having a few problems.1.I seem to remember being able to import Flash Player as a control into Visual Studio (2008 Pro). For some reason, I can't seem to VS to import it anymore. (I tried using the OCX from Visual Studio) Perhaps I'm looking for the wrong file. What file am I looking for?

I was able to import the control as the Flash10b.ocx from c:WindowsSystem32Macromed directory as a COM component. Question 2 and 3 still remain.Is there documentation on the ActiveX control? I am trying top figure out the API for ExternalInterface.

Jun 26, 2011I have an application which has 2 WebBrowser controls inside(both with script errors suppressed if thal). The application involves navigating to the same url every 3-4 seconds roughly(when the browser is ready).After a while it will crash and tell me flash.ocx is missing and is not included with this version of windows(w7 and vista). I troubleshoot the problem and tells me to update flash which does no fix the problem. This crash only happens when I run the application outside of the IDE btw and I get no errors in the IDE.

I declare a variable for the current value, min, & max properities of the progressbar and then increment it by 1 during each step of my FOR loop. However, I never see anything on the progress bar.
