[2005] Can't Use Browser Control To Show Flash In Application?
Mar 12, 2009
I'm using the web browser control in vs2005 to show a web page which has flash. somehow, it shows error:"this program requires flash.ocx which is no longer included in this version windows".
how to enable flash for the web browser control? (Visual Basic 2008 Express) I have it installed on my computer, but the program isn't tapping into it for some reason..... I'd really like to know, as this is probably the only major undesirable my browser still has...
Im using VB2005 express and the app im creating uses the web browser control.Basically I want to know if its possible to make the web browser control connect through a different ip address and port from your default web browser.
How do I enable my weBrowser control to read pdf files and show flash videos? I want to also create an intepreter and compiler for the perl and php for a program without setting up a server or using my IIS server. How do I do this?
I am using combobox on my form as I want to control the aspect ratio of flash in vb.net, but I have no idea how to control them using with the combobox.
Good day all,A Flash movie that plays fine when opened in a web browser is playing slowly and choppily in my VB 2005 WinForm application on the same machine.
I am trying to create a program that will do stuff in the web, more specifically, insert usernames and passwords into certain boxes, open e-mails, or click on buttons in webbrowser.
you must have observed an yellow strip displayed in the web browser for most of the events like 'pop up blocked', 'asking to save the password',etc. i want an same kind of yellow strip to be displayed in my form after the menu and tool strips. That strip must be displayed above the control(if any) which are placed exactly under the tool-strip. I must be able to call it in the same way like we do for the message-box.
What I'm trying to do is make my own contextmenustrip for the web browser control, this menu has two items so far: "Select All" which will select all the text displayed and "Copy" which simply copies whatever text is highlighted or selected. No images are displayed so no need to worry about that.
Also I've noticed that whenever a file is dragged from windows and dropped onto the web browser control on my form, the browser simply displays the file (these are xml files that I'm dropping on the control, on my form) which is not what I want it to do, instead I want to grab the file path & name and use it elsewhere. The browser control doesn't have the DragEnter, DragDrop, DragLeave events like labels, forms, textboxes, etc... how would I handle this?
i m a vb.6.0 developer and now turned in vb.net. so i m new in vb.net.My problem is given below.i opened the word documents in webbrowser control and it is just showing a document page with rular. I have a working Visual Basic application. I wish to have a html page that displays how to use it. How do I link it into a web browser control? This will be published and can't be just typing in the directory name as it may not exist on the client computer. How do I get it to look for the file in my solution explorer? I am using WPF in visual basic 2008 EXPRESS.
I'm making a browser and for the favorites I'm using a reader and writer to read and write new favorite to a .txt file. Now if I edit the text file manually and load up the browser, the favorites show up as they should but the problem comes in when I add the a new favourite and then reload the application. Once reloaded the favorites seem to copy what was originally in the file and then whatever I added last at the bottom.
Here is the Public Class Form1 Private Sub Button1_Click(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles Button1.Click WebBrowser1.Navigate(TextBox1.Text) ListBox1.Items.Add(TextBox1.Text) [Code] .....
I am still a novice at visual basic, so forgive me if this question is trivial. The situation:Ok I am using visual basic 2008, I currently have a form on it with a web browser, a button and a textbox. What I am trying to achieve is when a value is entered into the textbox, and the button is pressed, a variable within a flash game is changed. I have seen many ways of doing this if the flash game is standalone, that looks relatively easy. What I don't understand is how can I target the flash game when it is within a web browser. I know the varibale I wish to change, I am just not aware of how I can alter this with Visual basic 2008.
If someone could please spend the time writing some steps for how I could achieve this I would be grateful. They may need to be relatively dumbed down, because like I said I am still a novice. Something along the lines of "double click the button and enter this code..." would be great.
I am writing a desktop app in VB.Net, and I'd like to include a web browser control to automate certain functions the user might have to perform in the browser. I have to render the page so I do not want to use the webrequest to make direct calls. When I publish the app, do I have to be concerned with which version of Internet Explorer the user has on their machine? Are their any third party, freely available, stable web browser controls available for VB.Net that people are using?
I develop on my 64bit system, and the problem with that is, flash does not support 64bit browsers, only 32 bit, is there a way to convert the browser i made to like 32 bit or something so it will be compatible with flash ....
I am using the web browser control to generate screenshots of an intranet application developed in ASP.NET.
The screenshot is generated, compressed and then stored as a BLOB in the database. When I developed this facility I investigated the best way of compressing the image (to the lowest byte size), however the images still seem to be too big as the database table is growing larger than I hoped. I am using the TIFF format, but I am now thinking that this may not be the best as it is used by photographers (who I assume require good quality photographs). Here is the code to compress the image (before it is stored as a BLOB):
having trouble sizing my flash files to fit into a Web Browser form, similar to stretching a picture box image.I try to publish various sizes from my Flash source file, but I only get a zoomed version of the same size, about 500 x 500 pixels every time?
im trying to build an app that will simply contain a webbrowser.i have started an WindowsForm project and added the "Webbrowser component" and it works fine when i build the app and test it.although if i try to go to a page containing a FLashmovie etc. there is simply an "White doc icon with an red cross in it" just like it cant display the picture. although it is an flash doc/movie.or in this particular case an audioplayer.I have tried other flash and still the same thing.
I working on a project wherein i need to merge 2 or more files. but while the program is running or doing the specified descripted job. it seems to be standing still, which may confuse the user that application is not working or not responding. so i want to add a progress bar or anything related to show that the application is still running. can someone explain or tell me how to add this in my program. can you explain me with a simple program or something.
I have writtine a program in VB 2008 that uses "webrowser1.navigate" in a browser that I created on a form in my application, so that I could add buttons for other functions on that Form and to load a web page with Flash content. Everything seems to work fine on 32 bit machines but, on 64 bit machines when the web page is loaded, Falsh content does not work and I get a Security Warning asking "Do you want to install this software?" and the software is Adobe Flash Player. IE is 32 bit (on 64 bit machine) and has Flash Player installed and the Flash content works for this web page using IE.Is ther some code that I should add or a property that I should change on the VB 2008 Form containing the browser that I created, so that the Flash content will work?
I have windows application in .net framework 4. I want to display PDF file in PDF Viewer Control. I tried to user AxInterop.AcroPDFLib.dll (provided by Adobe), but as my application runs on 64 bit, it gives exception at run time.
