He wants to create a new table in the database (his using vb.net, mysql). The tricky thing is that he wants to name the new table from the the input being encoded into a textbox.

I'm trying to create table in my database, that would have name like i type in Textbox and than i have to click the button With code like this :

I'm getting erorr : Incorect syntax near "name that i type"
i use visual basic 6 i already try making a button to play sounds. by clicking the button and the sound will out. so that i want to know were could i start, when you input words in textbox the program will speak what you have type in the textbox.

I created a function that creates a global temporary table to stage data from a excel sheet I need the table to persist for me to map the columns using a form. The table is still there when the code goes back to the sub that calls the function until I call the form where I do the mapping. I am trying to avoid create/drop table scenario with a perm stage table.How can I get this table to persist until the data gets loaded into the perm table?

This is really a pre-defined table and the data is already specified to be inserted to the table. However, my primarily task is to read a flat file which has the data and consider the first line as the column to be column names.
Therefore, initially I created an open dialogue to browse for the text file and store the path such as E:Datafile est.txt, in a TextBox1 visible at run time. Now the task is to change the above "create table" to read the txt file (column names are on the first line) and then create the table in the database.

I am having a problem on setting the SQL CE table column a field type. What field type does a column that only accepts only two inputs..
Example: If a table has a column named Gender..it should only accepts two types of input...like Make or Female.
I've worked out how to display charts in VB 2010 Express, but now I'm needing the user to input data into a spreadsheet/table that will be used within the program. I know that table is no longer available and neither is the OWC11 set. Is my remaining option then to use DataGridView? I know it is SQL based and I don't have much experience there yet, but I didn't want to commit to it if there is another method that would work just as well. The coding for the length works(is there a better way to do this)? The coding for the first letter to be A works but then I have no idea how to set validation for any proceeding characters entered. Am i right in thinking I have to find their position somehow in the string if so how?
