I have 4 tab pages on a form. and on each tab page a datagridview witch is connected to a specific table from a database located in Microsoft sql server 2005. I am wondering if it's posible to automatically open the tabpage2 when I click on a specific row in the tabpage1..

1- Let's I have a form with a TabControle and 2 tabpages, is it possible to set the tabpages so that if i go from tabpage1 to tabpage2 that all data on tabpage1 gets reseted. The same thing if I go from tabpage2 to tabpage1 that tabpage2 is reseted. Also if I press on tabpage1 or 2 that the form changes to a certain height.
2- On the same form I created a button to open a new form. This new form is a notepad look a like. What I want is that the moment I open the second form that al the input from form one is showed on form 2. So that I can save it or print it.
I'm currently programming a program that should automatically click on a box when it pops up in the form I've made. The annoying thing is that, the box is popping up in different places every time. So the simple question: - Is there any way to automatically or by manual search for a specific color within the form and then get the position of it in VB?
View 1 RepliesI have a program that has checkboxes on tabpage1 and tabpage2. On the form is a StatusStrip1 with labels that have images. All labels are initially hidden.As I navigate the database, I want the the checkboxes that are checked to make their respective StatusStripLabel visible. I have tried to do this using the checkbox_changed like so:

This works well for the checkboxes on the first tabpage but I have to click on tabpage2 before those checkboxes will display their StatusStripLables.How can I get them to all display without having to click on tabpage2 first?

Im using visual basic 2010 and im building a program that will basically, you click on something in the list it will automatically open a .dat file pull the information that it needs, and then proceed to enter it into a box on the right. Well heres my issue i know how to do everything else but i cant seem to imitate this image, i need to know how i can make a list like this where the whole row is selectable, and the items/subitems are divided.

Is there a way to have your program automatically create a proxy for a specific browser, like IE, when your app is running? I was thinking that maybe you could create a VLAN proxy or something and a button on the app to toggle it on and off. But I'm not sure how or if one can do it.

Trying to write my program in vb.net 2010. I have read my 2 books and have been playing with the code a bit. Got streamreader and writer and My Namespace understood as far as text files go. Now I'm trying to get all my textboxes in tabcontrol tabpage1 to be cleared of text thru the For Each loop.
I've tried various ways and keep getting invalidcastexception error. I even changed the tabcontrol and tabpage modifiers to public. That did not work either.

I thought the code would not only clear all textboxes on tabpage1 but on all the tabpages. The help tells me that "When casting from a number, the value must be a number less than infinity and to make sure the source type is convertible to the destination type. I have three tabpages and that is definitly less than infinity. The source type and destination type puzzle me a bit.
Here is what I got using intellisense, however it not only clears the textboxes of text on tabpage1, but it clears the labels and buttons of text too so it is not a perfect solution.

I have started to use VB .net (Visual Studio 2008). I made a small program which starts with form1. This form1 automatically loads form2 and the form1 should close. But when it closes form2 closes as well.

I am creating a dll that a third party application runs.When I create a dll from scratch and not a base dll that they gave to me, the code does not automatically compile when I click the f5 (run debugging).Is there a setting that is project specific that would cause this behavior?I use the "start external program" option for debugging.
View 2 RepliesI started making a program, and I wanted to insert music to play. i just added music to the resources and used the code my.computer.audio.play(my.resources.name_of_the_file and so on. this worked perfectly until I added the 5th song. the resource file became to large and vb said it was corrupt. so I thought of a new way: making a music file opener. I made a code so a window opens where you can select your .wav files. that all worked, but I couldn't get it so the music would start automaticly or that it would actually play. this is the code I have so far:

On this page there is a hyper link called 'Click Here' .. when I click it, it opens another window with things in it.
How can I click this hyper link in vb.net automatically without me clicking on it with the mouse, and how do I open the window in a second web browser ?
We can assume that the first browser is called (WebBroswer1 ) and the second one is called (WebBrower2).
I know how to perform buttons clicks and do raise the 'OnClick' Events, but I don't know how to do it with a hyper links.
