I have a vb.net app using plain old ado.net to run a s'proc on the database server. The proc simply inserts a record that contains binary data.When this executes, I can see the exec call on the proc being made from within sql profiler.ado.net claims everything worked, no errors. However, a record isn't inserted. There are no key collisions or anything like that.I copied the query I saw from profiler and ran it directly within management studio. When I run it there, the record is inserted.For whatever reason, sql server and ado.net were conspiring against me. The user account I was attempting to execute the s'proc under did not have execute rights for it. After I set those rights then it was proceeding as normal.Now, the problem I have is that there should have been some type of warning, error, exception, whatever that said "hey, you can't do this" instead of simply saying "Everything is good" But that's a question for Microsoft.

I must have inadvertly messed up my data connection but not sure how to fix it. when I check the table adapters I can view data but when I load the app I get these errors and no data loads, how can I look at this log and make sense of how to fix this?

I can add records and delete records, but I cannot delete a newly added record without closing the form first. When i reopen the form, I can delete the record. Here is how I have my database setup:

how to do it, but the tutorial is not applicable on the program that I wish to do. The tutorial tells you to add 4 navigation buttons so that you can navigate the database(first, last, back, and forward). Then an update and delete button. But if this is what I will do, it would take 10 years to navigate the database and update a record. Now, what I want to do is just for the user to input a unique ID and click search button(which I have already done). Then the update would be easier. I'm trying to use a DataGridView Control to Add/Edit/Delete records in a simple database
table.I used the wizard to create the datagridview and it created a dataset a bindingsource
and a tableadaptor.When i run my project, data that is in the database table is displayed
correctly, but I can't add/edit/delete. What events/actions do I need to perform to add
these capabilities?
