Detecting Key Combo Events In App?

I am having problems while detecting key combo events in my app.
For example, I have Alt+M set to bring up the menu bar like one does in. Windows 7. But I noticed if u press control+alt+M it still calls the menu bar. I also noticed that if focus is on a webbrowser control, none of the combos work. I have keypreview set to true by the way. The webbrowser control is really a custom class that inherrits the standard webbrowser control. Reason for the custom control is because it uses the tab control tag property. I found it in a post somewhere can remember where. I'll post the link to the info in an hour.
Also I noticed during testing of Alt+SOME KEY that when I was holding Alt before I pressed the SOME KEY that it was calling up the code for showing/hiding the menu bar. (I originally used just Alt for the menu)

2) why does custom browser control "ignore" the keypreview being set to true?

I want to make an auto log off feature, I want to detect if there is any user input, and if there isn't the user will be automatically logged off. So I want to know how to detect mouse wheel events when the form doesn't have focus.

choosing a combo box event for placing this code. I have tried with ostfocus,leave,mousefocuschanged,displaymemberchanged like this but nothing works and Lable26(Default I set Visible:false ) is visible even after I select an Item.

I'm using VS2008, vb.net, and winforms. I've got 3 comboboxes on the same form who are all bound to the same data. If an item is added in one, I want the change reflected in the other two. I'm trying to create one sub to handle the adding of an item for all three combos. I found that the "sender" object appears to contain the control name. The Sub I created is not working quite right because after the item is added, the combo list display repeats itself. So instead of "Item1, Item2, Item3" after adding "Item3", I get "Item1", "Item2", "Item1", "Item2", "Item3". This coding works fine if I were to copy it to the Key_Down event for each combo and reference it directly (for example, use cboSpecialty1.Items.[code]...

i wanted to link options selected from Comb box A (general) to specific options in combo box B (specific). I want to pick a word in Combo box A that has specific words/phrases in Combo Box B show. But not all the words to show in the combo box B if they aren't associated with the Word picked in Combo Box A. Ex.When "Soda" is picked in A, only "Coke, Sprite, Fanta" should be visible in combo box b, not everything else.This is the code i used to make the boxes, but i don't know how to link them.

How to use a databound combo box to display one field in the drop down, and another as the combo box text on roll up? Using VS 2005... For example, I have a datatable that has 2 fields. One called "ShortDesc" and one called "LongDesc". I want to be able to see the "LongDesc" column values in the drop down on the combo box. Combo box 2 is filled based on a selection made in combo box 1 and a listview is populated based on the selection made in combo box 2.When the LostFocus event completes in combo box 1, it hits the LostFocus event in Combo Box 2 but it shouldn't. How do I prevent this from happening or if I can't prevent it, how do I work around it? The following is the code used.

I've got some code like the following. I want it so that when I chose an item in 'select 1' it changes the in the second combo box but I'm not sure of the best way to go about it. Does it have to be AJax or can it be done with just Javascript?

I have a form with 8 combo boxes and would like to disble certain combo boxes, depending on what was selected in another combo box. The reason is so the user will not have a blank return on a query. The first form I created like this worked great, no issues. This form only allows one combo box (Number_of_Lightheads) to disable any others. Below is the code I have for this Form. why the other combo boxes will not disable the ones that are called out in the code?

I created a control that has picture box control docked within it. This control allows me to "animate" the image by swapping them out by setting the interval to swap them at. I want to use this control kind of like an animated icon within a application, but because the picture box is docked, the control I created won't respond to the events, MouseHover specifically. I have a query I am creating a Window App in vb.net (4.0) in which I have to use multiple databases although all databases are same with same db structure & stored procedures,just names are different. In the very starting of application, I need to give a option to the user that these are available db & user will select which one to connect & use.
So is it possible to detect how many db are available in the SQL Server through vb.net & how can achieve this (to provide options to the user) What would be the best approach?

I have a camera with a LiveView function (images aren�t snapped, but they are directly sent to my computer), which I managed to connect with VB.net, so I have got the image in a picture box on my form.The next thing I want to do, is to gather 3 spots from the image... The spots are all red, something very similar to #FF0000 (it is a camera + lights, etc... some tolerance needed). So, can anyone help me here?
I think the working "check list" could be something like this:
- Get red, green and blue channels separated
- Change green and blue into gray scale (100% blue / green = black, 0% b / g = transparent)
- Put these b / g both into 50% alpha and put them over the red (which means where is both green and blue = black, only one of them = 50% alpha black, none = transparent)
- Somehow select the areas with most red
- Get center of these areas - my points
