Apr 7, 2011I have a listbox on my form which gets items added as the program progresses, when there are more items than the box can display, the vertical scrollbar appears, fine... so far so good.I would like the scrollbar default position to be at the bottom of it's column so that the last entered item is displayed but can't find the relevant command, I assume there is such a command.

Aug 22, 2010I am modifying some code I found here to test to see if a user has scrolled to the end of the control. In this case the control is a Crystal Viewer but I posted here because I think the issue is based on the vertical scrollbar not the Crystal Viewer itself.
The code flags an error at
Me.CRViewer.Controls.OfType
Indicating 'OfType' is not a member of 'System.Windows.Forms.Control.ControlCollection'.
I understand the concept that I can't reference something that it is not but I don't know how to fix it. The original code was for a DataGridView.
The ultimate goal (not finished) is to find out when the user has used the mouse or possibly the scroll bar itself and if it hits the bottom of the page of the viewer, then trigger a new page so it looks like they can just keep using the mouse to scroll.

Debug Jumps To Bottom Of Page And Repeats Same Line
Sep 4, 2009I'm wondering if anyone else has encountered this in visual studio 2008. I'm writing an asp.net app and when I run through debug it's jumping all over the place. It skips certain lines, at least it appears to, then it jumps to the bottom of the page and repeats the same line a few times then jumps to a separate sub I have in there. The weird thing, besides its behavior, is that it's not grabbing a piece of information that exists in one column but is grabbing another one. So anyone else encountered this? What's the fix.
To give a more detailed example it did this on the last debug. I started the breakpoint at line 40. It went to 43 with no problem then jumps to line 66, an end sub line, it then proceeds to go on to the private sub directly below it. That includes it going over the blank lines that would normally be skipped. It goes through the entire private sub line by line including a catch ex line but it displays no error. After hitting that line it immediately returns to line 46 of the sub that it already passed by the end sub line. It then goes down 2 more lines jumps back to the private sub it just left and repeats the end sub line 3 times, only the b at the end is highlighted when doing this not the whole line.
Textbox With Vertical Scrollbar - Get The Scrollbar Position Without Having To Reposition The Carat?
Oct 21, 2010So with the stock Textbox, I set the Scrollbars property to Vertical. This is great if the text in my box never changes; I can scroll up and down while the box sits still. If I'm running a background operation that logs output to the box though, the scrollbar resets itself to the top every time I append text to the box.
I know I can set the Textbox.Selection property (or use the Select method) to reposition the carat in the textbox, make note of that position in a variable, then append text, reset the carat, and use the ScrollToCarat method to reposition the scrollbar where it belongs. That's a really (ridiculously) long way around. Anybody know if there's another/better way of holding the scrollbar position, short of actually building a custom control (or using a Textbox and a separate Scrollbar)? It never hurts to try. In a worst case scenario, you'll learn from it.

Eventually the label fills with text so I have to clear the label to continue writing.What I need is a way to find how many lines of text are in my label, so after it passes line #50 I can make the label automatically clear itself and begin writing on line #1 again (as if the user just flipped to the next page of a book).My first idea was to turn AutoSize on and monitor the height of the auto-sized label box. After it passed a certain height I could clear it - but this didn't work because I need the label to be of a certain width.

The problem occurs in the Maps.vb file on line 17 when the assignment of variables to the array starts. When running the breakpoint debugger you will notice that when it reaches line 17 it just skips the whole sub and then the next breakpoint is unable to be found.
