I have a file in vb.net that i am using to read records. In the code behind my next button i read the next record in the file.How do i return to the beginning of the file when it reaches the end?Here is my code.

Now I'm having some trouble displaying the output using the do while loop, and I'm pretty sure it's a loop problem on my code. However, I cannot seemed to find out what's wrong. When I use a For loop in a For loop the Contains Statement dosen't work! Even my custom one! I even tested mine and it works 100% And neither that or the String.Contains function work inside of For Loops And, I know both of them use loops to search through a string.

I have a small program that is used for managing media libraries for some software front-ends. Basically, it reads in the files of a directory and, one-by-one, creates a new directory by each file name and moves the respective file into the new folder.Everything works well, but I am wanting to extend the functionality a bit.I would like to include multi-part file detection so that titles that are named as such:
movie-disc1.avi
movie-disc2.avi
would be moved into a single folder named movie. The files would not be renamed.As of now, I simply have an option that will allow the user to ignore certain files that match a regex pattern:

So I'm in the final stages of finishing a program I've been working on for nearly a year now, and this is basically my final hurdle. The Save dialogue is working beautifully, with 'flags' in order to switch it over from the regular input into text boxes to the Listbox input protocol.
However, I'm having a *** of a time getting it to take lines from the text file and put them in the proper text box. Here is an example file:

So with the sample file I provided above, in the textbox named callNameText would appear "SHOWNAME", and so on and so forth. With this build, I get a NullReferenceException on the "Me.Controls(strboxNames(i)).Text() = strAllText(ati)" line.

I have a button which starts a countdown, I need the progress bar to complete when countdown reaches 0. I have a program that reads from a database...the database pulls its info from a site.it measures in 0 to 100 (%).I know it takes 3 days (i dont know if its EXACTLY 72hrs)..to get to 100%.Currently, i have a progressbar to read from the database field..which is the value.I'd like to 'estimate' the time left before it reaches 100...Is there a math formula for that?

I have created several small applications that use my own DLL. The problem is, this DLL is constantly changing. My current solution to this problem is that I have a Setup project in the class library solution that creates and registers the DLL. In all my applications I then have to open the solution and re-reference the newly created/registered DLL. Then I have to re-compile their setup projects, uninstall the old applications, and then re-install the new application.
There has to be a better way and I'm just not sure because I'm fairly new to all this. I have looked into ClickOnce but I don't think that will solve my issue as I cannot publish a class library. I have looked into checking version numbers but I must be doing something wrong because it doesn't work either.I understand that once a DLL is created and being used in an application it should essentially not be touched. I do not have that option in this situation. It is constantly updated. Done.
Edit: The DLL is not constantly changing during runtime but it is constantly evolving to allow more functionality and detail within the other applications. Also, one big thing I guess I should have mentioned is the Public interface is constantly chaning - usually adding new methods.
How would one receive a value from a function while it is running?

My question is if the data that is saved in a certain type and i only read try to read it in as text for example, will the saved data I am looking for not be displayed?
ex: im trying to read in text but my device has the data saved in hex, do i see anything or nothing?

My program plays sort of like a novel, where I add paragraphs to a multiline label whenever the user presses the enter key. Eventually the label fills with text so I have to clear the label to continue writing.What I need is a way to find how many lines of text are in my label, so after it passes line #50 I can make the label automatically clear itself and begin writing on line #1 again (as if the user just flipped to the next page of a book).My first idea was to turn AutoSize on and monitor the height of the auto-sized label box. After it passed a certain height I could clear it - but this didn't work because I need the label to be of a certain width.

I have built a web browser and my new window function is working great, it allows me to open popups that use normal https links without a hassle. But I am having some problems when the links contain java code (like the one below:

The reason why this operation fails because the string that is being passed to the Navigate method is not an actual URL.It is apiece of Javascript code which needs Javascript engine to process it firstly. Apparently, Webbrowser.Navigate() does not have this functionality,so it fails. If you simply put the string in IE�s address bar and press enter, IE will also not able to open it. The reason why it does work if you access the HTML page in IE and click the hype link is because this will make IE to use Javascript engine to process the code.
Since the API(Webbrowser.Navigate) does not have the functionality to process Javascript code,build up my own code to process the string which you get by using the GetAttribute method. The code reads the string and finds the actual URL and passes it to the Navigate method.
The only problem is that the javascript code constantly changes (varies upon what link is opening) and the url itself will change depending on what the link is linking to! Below is the code that I use at the moment to get the full link .finding the actual URL in the javascript even with the javascript differing from link to link).
