Feb 11, 2010I used the following code for retrieving a column items from access table and displaying it by using list view and it work perfectly, the problem now is that I need to add another column items to the list view ... but how? I displayed the two columns with their headers but the problem is retrieving the items for the second column.
This is the code that I used for the first column:

Aug 22, 2009I used following code searching records from a table in MsAccess and displaying in a Listview and it is working fine with the search criteria based on Discription.

I also tried the above code to search records on the base of CustId and it worked fine too.My table DailyTransaction in MsAccess is as under:DTDate, DTTime, CustId, Description, Quantity, Price, Amount, AccountNumber, Name
Now I want to Search records on the base of Date I tried the following but it did not work.

Also i want to make following sort of query to retrieve data between two dates and to display the sum of amount group by DTDate. Basically what I would like to do is get the heading names from the table in access and populate the listview, later on I will what it to look at specifc data to populate the list view.
My connections is already open, I think I'm ok witht he sql, its just the other bits.

Now I want that all the rows should be columns and columns should be rows.I have 2 options: Either 1 I can directly convert grid to columns and display it, or 2 I can convert the GridView to html and then write loops to convert. Both ExecuteNonQuery() actions yields the exception message {"Syntax error in field definition."}The error message does not happen with the first if the boolean column is not there (I tried Tes/No as a definition - but that also failed.The second query to modify the ID column from autonumber to integer I assume fails because it is a Primary KeyHas?
Asp.net - Displaying Gridview With 3 Columns
Sep 1, 2011I have a gallery which holds a large number of thumbnail images and I want to show 6 at a time.
I have this working using the code below, but I can not get the images to display as 2 rows of 3 - it shows as 6 rows of 1.
I can get the desired result by using a datalist but that stops the pageindex function from working.
I'm sure there's an easy solution but I can't figure it out.

Using while loops, I'm trying to display tracks/songs under particular genres, as listed in a simple text file, from which the programme reads.The issue is, although I can get the columns to be named after the appropriate genres, as stated in the text file, the songs are read, and placed in the first column, regardless. I can't seem to get them to move to the next column, when the previous genre is finished.[code]

I need to display the values in that drop down menu into 2 columns. It displays a number of items and therefore is too long.I wish to display the items side but side in 2 columns. In C# you can use ToolStripMenuItem which allows you to display multiple columns. Even though ToolStripMenuItem is available in Vb.net its difficult for me in the current app to switch to that tool.

in that order. The thing I want to do is to make it come out in nice even columns...but I can't seem to make it do that. It comes it out in nasty uneven rows that don't look attractive...
Basically, here's what it looks like now:
1. Sword Slots: 2 Price: $40
2. W. Stick Slots: 4 Price: $1
I want to get each column to line up nicely with the other (since I control the size name).
DB/Reporting :: Table Columns Into Table Adaptor?
Jul 7, 2011Rather than running numerous queries in Access I am trying to write a front end for a DB2 database. The Access database is getting to a size that it is causing Access 2007 to have reliability issues and frequent compacting is required. I have created the Dataset, the Table Adaptors, and the Connection String already, but when I put in a bit of code in to fill the Table Adaptors the remote connection I have to work is going crazy (chewed up about 180MB before I realised it was pulling data from work).
Before I started the project I copied the .accdb to my local PC HDD and I pointed the connection string to it, but it still looks like it is trying to pull data from the work network. If it was a small database I wouldnt be concerned but it is pulling major data every time I run it. I have only 2 out of the 4 Table Adaptors running and it didnt fill them even after 10 minutes.
Here is the code I was trying to run... Server name has been substituted for Server for obvious work reasons.
Because the tables are so large I was looking for a way to pull only the columns I need to from the tables, I tried adding .SOFT_ID to the first line of code but the TA spat the dummy message below...

I am 100% shure the listview is populated with data. The listview view property is curremtly set on Details.
