I need advice on how to pass the details of a double clicked datagrid record to another form and display as text boxes etc. This will act as an edit form for the user once they have clicked their desired record.

This is a VB .NET application where we are showing the output of a SQL statement in a Datagrid view. using .NET 2005.We need to get the seperators of the headers on the grid control to be the same colors as the GridColor on the form. See the picture below:We've tried looking through all of the properties of the DataGridView control, and found some interesting things that looked promising such as the DataGridViewAdvancedHeaderStyle, and DataGridViewHeaderBorderStyle, but none of it seems to allow you to change the colors on it.Does anyone know how to do this without remaking the entire thing with a GDI+ control?

My grid double click works, but when it repaints with the new data, a single click fires the double click. I have no code in place to handle a single click .
The interesting thing is that it is (in my case) a toggle. If I double click, on the repaint, a single click fires the double click code. When it repaints again, I need a double click .
The double click code fires off a messagebox - if I tell it not to continue, then I have to double click to get it to fire again. So it is not dependant on what data is displayed.

When it is in the mode to respond to a single click, I can tab through all the controls and then click on any cell in the grid and it will still fire the double click.
No matter what I try to do (set focus to other controls, refresh the grid, etc.) nothing seems to reset the grid so it works consistently.
I have forms in my application that I want always with same size, I define the border style to fixed tool, disabled the control box. But if the user double click in the form header the form gets maximized. There's some way to disabled this?

View 2 RepliesI'm having a problem with my DataGridView. When I double-click on any column, with exception to Date & Time, the grid advances by 1. As you can see the 2nd row is highlighted in blue, I actually double-clicked on the first one, under "Sent By." (See attached image)

How could I change the column header of the Data Grid to center or right but not left as default? [We are talking 'bout Data Grid here, recently I always receive answers for Data Grid View instead :( ] I just want to re-align the header only, not the whole column. I have 5 textboxes embedded in a datagrid that require a date format (mm/dd/yy), but can be left empty if user doesn't have date. User can poplutes these textboxes for multiple records and hit submit button. On the submit i loop through the grid. If dates are populated AND they are in the correct format then I call a stored procedure that inserts the record into a table. If any of the dates that are populated in the textbox is not a date or in the incorrect format I need to display error message in a label. I got all this to work, but if it throws error message all the data in the grid is wiped out.
How can i keep data in each textbox and still display the error message?

I have a vb.net application that uses Flash movies (AxShockwaveFlashObjects.AxShockwaveFlash). I have buttons in the flash movie. When they first start using the application, they can single click on the buttons in the flash movie and button responds accordingly. But after a while (and I haven't been able to pin-point an exact thing that changes it or my issue would be solved), the user has to double-click on the button in the flash movie for them to work.

This has worked fine, until I set the "Enable XP visual styles" on the project properties page. With this set, the colors dissapear from the header (although they still show up correctly in the grid). If I turn the flag off, the header colors are back to normal.
Is there a property of a grid view control that can set the text size of a column header?
