Dynamically Add Checkboxes In A Foreach Loop?

I have the following for each loop which loops through a registry key and reads all the values:
Dim returnValue As RegistryKey = Registry.LocalMachine.OpenSubKey("SOFTWAREMicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersionRun")
Dim keyname As String = "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREMicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersionRun"
Dim values() As String = returnValue.GetValueNames

What I am trying to have been highlighted in bold.. Each time the loop executes and reads a value from the registry, I want the code to create a checkbox which has a unique name and text according to the value that was read... So the number of checkboxes will depend on number of values that is got from the registry...But this doesn't work. It only creates one text box and the text of the textbox is also incomplete...

I'm writing a loop to go through the first array of a 2D loop, and I currently have it like this:
For Each Dir_path In MasterIndex(, 0)
'do some stuff here
Next
But it's giving me an error, saying it expects an expression in the first field. But that's what I'm trying to do, loop through the first field. How do I fix this? What would I put in there?
EDIT: to clarify, I'm specifically looking for the 0th element in the subarray of each array, that's why that second field is constantly 0.

Everything is working fine except for one part. The part where the second foreach loop runs. If I only have one plugin installed it puts 2 entries in the list. The reason is because it has 2 rows and it is adding it twice. I know what the issue is I just am drawing a blank right now.

This is weird. I have a class that inherits from IEnumrable whose Count property is reporting 0 (zero) elements but the For Each loop steps into the loop body and tries to use the variable where it should just be moving on. My code:
On Error Resume Next
Dim d As Foo
For Each d In fooCollection
' use d and throws an exception
Next d
Weirder still, every time d is accessed i get an exception thrown in the output window:
A first chance exception of type 'System.NullReferenceException'
but i'm not stopping on the exception (not in a try/catch block).Is "On Error Resume Next" causing this weirdness?
Weirdness found:Per Rowland's and JohnH's comments i checked the Foo class:The GetEnumerator method inside of Foo didn't actually return anything! It had an empty body. That coupled with the On Error Resume Next before the loop caused the havoc! Wow this was ugly.

I am trying to use a checkbox that is dynamically declared in an .vb file that I am trying to write into my .aspx page. I am able to write a normal checkbox of <input type='checkbox /> from the .vb Class using Response.write, but it comes up blank when using <asp:Checkbox runat='server' />I need to pass whether or not the box is checked back to the server, because I am having to either approve something if one is checked, reject something if the other is checked or do nothing if neither are checked.

I have 50 checkboxes that I need to write onto an aspx page. Each checkbox comes with 3 textboxes.[code]...
Now this shall go for all 50 states, depending on which states the person wishes to donate. In each state's row shall be a checkbox. So initially the page shall have value 0.00 in donation and new donation checkboxes, but all 50 states shall be visible. When the person puts a value of donation in certain state, that state shall get "checked" value and the donation, after submitting. On reloading, the value shall be populated automatically and checkbox checked automatically.
How do I make these 50 checkboxes in VB.NET?

I have a form that uses 28 checkboxes (checkBox1 ~ checkBox28), 28 labels (label1 ~ label28), and 28 textboxes (textBox1 ~ textBox28). These items need to be visible/invisible depending on the mode of the program (there are 5 modes). I could specify each item individually with visibility, but that requires a whole lotta code! I have a input form that has a number of check boxes on which relate the users enquiring courses. I need to create a loop of some sort that allows each checkbox to be checked it is selected. If so, output that within a message box. Thats it put simply anyway.

I thought I could use this, to loop through all checkboxes in a frame:
For Each cb As CheckBox In Me.frameSearch.Controls
cb.enabled = False
Next
But it walks through once, then it comes with error:
Unable to cast object of type 'System.Windows.Forms.Label' to type 'System.Windows.Forms.CheckBox'.
There are indeed labels within 'frameSearch', but I thought that the "For Each cb as Checkbox" would loop only through all checkboxes..? Following does work, but it seems a bit of waste of CPU time, since it will loop through all controls!
For Each cb As Control In Me.frameSearch.Controls
If TypeOf (cb) Is CheckBox Then
cb.Enabled = False
End If
Next
How to do this more effectively?

I'm doing an assignment for Uni and in my VB.NET form I have some checkboxes, I'm trying to loop through and clear them (I have a button which will clear the form). My problem is that there seems to be no property I can use to set the state of a checkbox when not explicitly telling VB which checkbox I want to use. for example, I can go
WineCheckBox.Checked = False
That will check the box, but I wand to DRY the code up a bit and not have to repeat this for each check box I have, this is what I was trying to do:

element.Checked = False
End If
I've tried using element.CheckState and element.Checked and both times I get "Checked (or CheckState) is not a member of System.Windows.Forms.Control".

I have several checkboxes in a groupbox on a vb 2008 express userform. I would like to check the checked status of each when clicking a command button and then write the checkboxes caption to be used in an email or print out. the problem with this code is that it only inserts the serial number of the LAST checked checkbox and the number of entries of it depends on the number of checked checkbox for example ... if I checked the rows with the serialnumber 123 and 55652341, first the row with the serial number 123 then second 55652341, only 55652341 appears in the database and it is entered twice(twice because two checkboxes are checked)

What I am trying to do is dynamically create a bunch of dropdown lists and then I want to loop through them and update the database with those values, but the problem I am facing is that I create the dropdown lists, but then when I go back to loop through them they are no longer in the panel. I don't know why but when I am debugging I have a count of 50 controls in pnlTeacherSelect right up until I press the button that calls prcChoose.

My co-worker said that in a previous interview, he learned that foreach is faster in VB.Net than c#'s foreach. He was told that this was because both have different CLR implementation.
Coming from a C++ perspective, I'm curious on why this is and I was told that I need to read up on CLR first. Googling foreach and CLR doesn't help me understand.
Does anyone have a good explanation on why foreach is faster in VB.Net than in c#? Or was my co-worker misinformed?
