The progree bar its self isn't the issue.The issue is putting a counter in my code so i know what record is being done.

Oct 28, 2009I'm trying out uploading of files from local computer to a server and I'm using these few lines of code:
My.Computer.Network.UploadFile("C:Temp est.mp3", "192.168.1.2 est", "", "", True, 500)
This does exactly that and the "True" in the above string shows a progressbar in its own window. I would like for that progressbar to display on the same form as the rest of controls are. And not in it's own window. Is there a way of doing just that?

Dec 9, 2010I'm using the code below to send text messages, but sometimes I need to send a large text file (500kB - 1,5MB) and I'd like to show the progress.The only way this can be done is by sending the data in smaller parts (I think), but how can I do this properly? BeginWrite is asynchronous and won't wait until a previous part has been uploaded, so tracking the upload progress is not accurate.
Is there also a way to limit the upload speed, lets say to 25 kB/s?

Mar 9, 2012I borrowed code from url... to use for uploading a file to an FTP server. Works fine. However, I'd like to be able to display a progress bar so the user knows what is happening. When I clicking the download button it should be downloaded based on the file name and path that I have stored in the database. I would like the simple openfiledialog code button click to attach a word document or PDF and upload it to a SQL server table to be saved. I would like to use my current datasets and controls without creating another SQL query within my project as I have seen in other forums, unless that is the only method. I know that the data needs to be saved as an image type with the file name and extension but I just need the code for this. I would then like to download the doc or pdf to view it within a form.

I'm using this code to download a file from ftp server,it works fine but progress bar doesn.'t update, WClient_ProgressChanged is raised only at 100% downloaded.Download time isn't so fast is about 27 seconds for a 17Mb file.
