Jun 26, 2009When I add, update or delete a record using DataGridView, which events should I use for applying these changes? I'm binding DataGridView's DataSource property programatically. I only connect it with a DataTable. I'm not using a BindingSource. Is this the reason why doesn't DGV apply record changes automatically?

2- IDD = number

now if I add 10 names in the table from (1-10) =123456789 10 then I deleted name number 6 the IDD field will renumber it self from( 1-9)=123456789 instead of 1234578910 so in reports and queries the names will appear numberd from 1 to last number with out missing numbers in the middle of numbering I use in MS-Access code which does this perfactly

Mar 21, 2010we have a vb.net application with send and receive mailing also. Now we have added a session timer of 30 min but the users are complaining that they are facing a problem when they write a long text message or while composing they get busy in something else and when they return back to continue composing message , they are redirected to a session expiry page, and their long text message is gone forever. So I am new to this and I was thinking like , when the user is in compose message the text should be automatically saved to drafts like hotmail.

Jun 3, 2011I'm using MS ACCESS for my dbase..i have a tblborrow where you can find transac_num ..now, i have in my form a label which here, you can see how many transactions you have done already(i'll name it sa lbltransacno) and a save button..what i want now is that.. every time the user save a transaction.. the lbltransacno will automatically go to its next number.. but of course.. the user should fill up the information needed.. if those are not filled up, and he click the save button.. the transaction will not be counted.. how to code it?

May 4, 2009I have it mostly working right now, I can edit existing data and have it save to the database so when I re-open the program all the new data is still there. Now I get an error saying "Column 'AppID' does not allow nulls." when I try to create a new record. AppID is a column in the DB that I use to number the appointments. I guess it's looking for this value when it tries to save the new data, and since it isn't a field on the form it doesn't get an entry and fires that message. I've tried changing the AppID column to an AutoNumber field so it generates by itself but I still get the same error.

May 20, 2009I can't seem to save data in the database when updating a record. The record appears to be updated and even displays the new record on my form but as soon as I close and restart the program the old record is back and no changes are made to the database. Copying Record With Schedule Date And Save It
Oct 6, 2011I have table name "WO" in oracle db I want "Whenever I start my program, I want it it look at all the works orders, and if any works order has a date that is exactly one month before today's date, then I want the program to display a message and create copies of those works orders with a schedule date of today's date and save it".
