I am quite new to vb.net. So i might as some idiot question and make some idiotic mistake.Well, this is my problem. I have write the login code for vb. and i was able to make a connection to database everything is fine. but when it come to my if else there i just cant sign in with any account. and anyone pls point out what my mistake is? and let me know how can i solve it. T.Below are my login button coding.It may included some unnecessary coding as well. If possible. Pls point out too.

I have a login control in my asp.net webform i uses the roles manager...i have two roles admin and vendors i want when user enter username and password in login control then on login button click event it validates either the user is admin or vendors if vendor is admin then it will redirect to default.aspx other wise stay on login page with error. ...how to do this using vb.net ?

I've been trying to make a app that logs into a website. So far it didn't work for me.I have trouble because:
- The "pin" (username) box on the site doesn't have an ID. (Can't use getelementbyid)
- The picture doesn't have an ID either
Codes I've tried:
With WebBrowser1.Document

This should have, in my opinion, filled in the textbox. Now I need to click the login button?Also I found this in the source of the site:

For the past couple of days I have been using Visual basic 2008 and learning it.Anyway, I am trying to make a login form that will login to a website with WebBrowser control.and I am noticing that the webbrowser is extremly slow, it takes him about 20 seconds to load a page while mozilla opens it in a moment, why is that?

I had a problem with WebBrowser component. Basically, it works improperly when try to log in on one web-site (Forex Trading Social Network | Online Forex Trading Forum and Social Networking Site). I am working with Visual Studio 2010 Professional. I created a simple WebBrowser trying to access the indicated web-site. The problem begins. Well, the website loads, but when you go to the login page (Forex Trading Social Network | Online Forex Trading Forum and Social Networking Site) and try to log in, it doesn't work. I mean, when I enter the login details the login page just refreshes itself and the login wasn't proceed. The same login page appear with every login attempt. The is the current problem!I check with Google, it works. But, it doesn't work with Forex Trading Social Network | Online Forex Trading Forum and Social Networking Site! Why?

I am using this login control:

I'm trying to make a program that will automatically log me into a forum. I have the webbrowser control and a button. the site is automatically loaded on form load. I want it to log me in using my username and password when i click the button. I tried it on [URL] to test and worked fine. But for some reason when I try it with my forum it doesn't work. My forum is SMF. It seems that the problem lies with the Login button itself.
I can easily send the username and password to the corresponding boxes but when it comes to clicking the Login button it fails. What makes that Login button different from the Login button of Yahoo other than having a different name? Below is an example of the code I was using. How can I get it to successfully click the SMF Login button?

I'm trying to make a login form thats opened by a button. I know how to make the button open a new form but I want the form to have a admin login,guest login and a new user button that only a logged in admin can open, it should also have a 'only admins can create new users' type messagebox. If your still understanding me I also want it to stay in the file, like you press the login button and it brings you up to the page. I don't know if it could have account control like user from limited to admin.

Once I click Sign in, I want the application to test to see if the user has internet. If it does I want it to call another sub. If the network is not available I want a message to come up and say Error, no internet connection.

I have a masterpage in which I have a Loginname control. I have a link in masterpage which redirects to register.aspx which contains createuserwizard as follows.[code]I have home.aspx page in which I login as administrator with username ram and loginname changes to ram. As admin I have to create another user. So I create a new user using create user wizard (register.aspx). After creating the user the loginname changes from ram to username of the new user. That I dont want. ram must exist. It means loginname must be ram itself. What customization do I have to make to make login name not change?

I have a problem about shown event. I have a login form and a main form. I start the program with main form. then I used frmMain.Shown() to control the login form. When main form is shown, it checks Win. Registry if username and password is stored there. İf yes, login form comes and wants me to sign in and if not, it calls first login form to create a record in Registry.The problem is that; When I click on X (close) button, it closes the login form, but Main form is still running and I can use it without sign in. How do I solve this problem? Or is there any other way to controls if Registry has the record or not
