Inout Box: Input A Percentage To Increase Prices In An Array And Display In The List Box

This is what I have so far, I know it should be simple as hell, but I'm having a huge brainfart at the moment. Im going to continue messing with it though. Im trying to make it so I can input a number for a percentage, multiply that with my current array prices, and display the total in the listbox. I have a few theories on why it isnt working but cant pinpoint which one to use, I'm at a basic level to this and still learning the process. Im also pretty sure I dont have everything I need on here yet.

I'm trying to code an 'increase' button to prompt a user to input a rate by which to increase select prices in an array.It should request the increased rate, then request a number from one to five, representing which price in the array to increase.Then, if 'increase' button is selected again and another number from one to five is chosen, then that element should be increased.It's working, but all the numbers in the array are changed. And, when I hit the increase button again, the array is repopulated below the first price increases instead of only replacing the designated price.

I've to make a program that reads an arithmetical sentence from a textbox, e.g 12.3*34+4*5-3 and then on another textbox identify and display what is the content of the first textbox, for example taking the last ex:
If I have this input:
12.3*34+4*5-3
The output should look like this:
<number>12.3
<operator> *
<number> 34
<operator> +

This program should only read this operators like (+,-,*,/).I'm have in mind 2 ways of doing it, one with regex and the other taking the first sentence, put it on an array, then trim it, and somehow get the values of the array and identify if it is a number or a decimal number and if it's an operator and then display it.
The difficult part or the part that i can't conceptualize is how to implement it with regex (it should be easier with a regex format than storing it on a array).I write a bit of code, I used an array to store and then to print the numbers and I used the split function to separate the math operator, but I dunno how to print the operators and the tags.

I'm using VB 2008 and reading data from an access 2003 database.I have a query setup in access - read in as a 'view' in vb ... that is showing results of first pass yield. total good parts... total bad parts... and percentage of yield.in my access query - i have the percentage displaying properly using the column format in access... however - on my form - the data source comes in as a textbox...by default.I can't seem to google the right question - but right now on my form, even though the dataset recognizes it as a double precision number - the option in the datasource tab - shows it as a text box or data grid right ...
so on my form i have the text box or details option... but my text box shows the percentage as a long decimal ... .98936524 or whatever... what's the correct string i need to format the textbox.text to display a percentage?I tried format(val(textbox.text), 0.00) that didn't do anything... and I did this under the form load section after the data sets were filled.

The issue I'm having is I have 3 items in my combobox however when I maximize my window the items do not enlarge and are the same size(or relative) to what they were prior to maximizing, hence overlapping. Is there a way? I've ony known how to increase width.

Im trying to increase the size of an array by 1 each time a button is pushed and have the new value read into the array. I use a variable nIndexItems which is increase by 1 each time the button is pressed. I need preserve the existing data so I have done the following: ReDim Preserve arHours(nIndexItems) This increases the array but doesnt preserve the data. I have a program that will compare an array of grocery list items glist and an array of coupon item clist.When I compare the two and if there is a match somewhere in the array I want to have a picturebox visible.When there is no match, I want the picture box not to be visible. [code] The code seems to work great until I come to the else statement.When the code finds a match it displays the picture box and the msgbox without error, but as soon as the message box is cleared, even though i've input it as an ELSE statement, the picturebox goes false again.Does anyone have any idea of how I can "hold" the picturebox to stay visible while the match between the arrays exists?

When creating a right click (ContextMenuStrip) menu for a systray (NotifyIcon) icon, how do I give it the same style as most other context menus? Most other menus have a nice fade inout when right clicking on the system tray Icon. In addition they respond immediately when moving between nested levels. I cannot replicate this in Visual Studio 2008 using a simple form, NotifyIcon and ContextMenuStrip assigned. The menu appears harshly with no fade effect regardless of any property.

i have to create a mortgage calculator (I know we have killed this mortgage calculator). Has to display an amortization table to display the list after doing the calculation. Here is the actual assignment:
Write the program in VB.Net (not Web based) and have it accept user input of the amount, term and interest rate. Display the mortgage payment amount. Then, list the loan balance and interest paid for each payment over the term of the loan. The list will be longer than the screen, so use loops to display a partial list, hesitate, and then display more of the list. Insert comments to document the program.
I have created 4 buttons. Calculate, Clear, List, and Exit. The buttons all work, but the list does not. Not sure what i am doing wrong.

I am trying to get a count of all the times a byte sequences occurs in another byte sequences. It cannot however re-use a bytes if it already counted them. For example given the string let's assume the byte sequence was k.k it would then find only 3 occurrences rather than 5 because they would be broke down like: [k.k].[k.k].[k.k]. and not like [k.[k].[k].[k].[k].k] where they over lap and essentially just shift 2 to the right.
Ideally the idea is to get an idea how a compression dictionary or run time encoding might look. so the goal would be to get down to just 2 parts, as (k.k.k.) is the biggest and best symbol you can have.
