I'm using a datepicker for a field on my form, but the arrows are not visible. If I go to the location where they supposed to be, I can click them to change the month, but the arrows themselves are not visible.

If the user then clicks the "btnShowDiv" button, it should then become visible.The problem I have is that, once it has become visible I need it to stay visible. At the moment, whenever I click on an asp button the div reloads and becomes hidden again.

I've got a panel - that's in a group box. All of this - with lots of other textboxes on labels - is in another panel (the big panel).I make the big panel visible and not visible based on selections made by the user.This small panel - that's in the group box. I cannot seem to make it appear.Even if I leave it VISIBLE at design time - the objects in it will not appear.Is there some kind of nesting problem that I'm not aware of!

I'm having an odd problem when making a form visible and not visible and it not continuing to function. Here is what I have happening. I have a main form (frmMain) that is an MDIParent. On this form I have a menu to open a second form (frmCalculate) and populate a listview from Items in the database.
As I click or select items in the listview on frmCalculate the tag is read and data is pulled based on the id stored in that tag and fills in various fields on the form. This works great. However, I also have a context menu attached to the listview that allows me to perform a "what if" scenerio on the items I am calculating. When I select this menu, I hide the frmCalculate and open the frmWhatIf form where I can mess around with values on the item I had hilighted in the listview on frmCalculate. Nothing is pulled from or written back to the database here, all the information is filled in from fields on frmCalculate. It just allows me to look at rising costs and how they will affect my margins.... anyway.
If I then close frmWhatIf, it brings my frmCalculate back by setting its visible propery to true (never closed frmCalculate, just hid it). At this point if I click an item in the listview I get an exception for a null reference. IF however I never hide frmCalculate, I can open and close frmWhatIF without ever having an issue. Why do I lose the functionality to select items just by hiding and unhiding the form? As a test I added two menus to the toolbar on frmMain one called hide and one called show. I then opened frmCalculate with original menu item to populate the listview and selected a few items to test that it was working and then using the hide menu I made the form invisible and the show button to bring it back. This yielded the same exception so without even opening frmWhatIf the problem still occurs.
I try to get how many days there are between two datetimepickers, but get convert error no mater what i do.

I'm using MaxDate and MinDate to restrict the days allowed to be entered by the date picker, but the dates outside that range of dates are not grayed out, I would like to be able to gray out dates that are not valid, to clearly indicate which dates are valid. Is this possible?

I am using the vs2008 ReportViewer control, and I'd like to filter the date range on the report by selected it from (2) DatePicker controls. There are a couple of ways to do it I'm sure, but I would like to write the filter as an expression in the reportviewer designer. View 2 RepliesI have placed several PictureBox Images of different colored dots(which represent lights) on an image of a Christmas Tree. I can make the lights randomly flash using a randomGenerator and a Select case statement. However, the code is very long. There are 67 lights on this tree and the code is 71 pages long. There has to be an easier way to do this. So far I have tried the following with two images of lights just to see if it would work and it does not work:

I am building a really complex program, and the only thing that i cannot make work right is the menu.The menu is basicaly 13 textboxes:
-txtMenu1
-txtMenu2
_txtMenu3
There is also a cursor next to the menu with up/down end enter button.When I click the down button it moves the selector one space down and up moves it up..The problem is when i click the down arrow it just moves the selector one space down, when i click it again it does not do anything. Same thing with the up arrow.The code for the down button is and the text boxes tab is in order from 1 to 13.When I reach the end (txtMenu13) and click down arrow, the selector goes back to txtMenu1. I need the selector to be blocked there on txtMenu13 so the user has to use the up arrow to go back to txtMenu1. The same thing when the user reaches txtMenu1 and tries to go up one more, he should not be able to do it.

I have a VB 2008 application with multiple DataPicker fields. The data is binded to SQL database. On the form load I set the checkBox for each date to false if there is no date in the field. Noticed that if I make changes to some dates for record 1 in the table, save it and scroll to the next record - I see the date that I just changed for record 1 - also on records 2 and 3. Why is it happening? I don't have that problem if I use text fields to display the dates. I had encountered the same problem with different project and just switched to text boxes. With this new project?

However the items in the list that the listbox is bound to are not all String types. Some are DateTime and a few are Integers. I would like to have a datetimepicker displayed instead of a textbox for the DateTime types. How can I make this happen.To clarify some points the list is populated at runtime using reflection so I don't know which fields are what types ahead of time.

View 4 RepliesI'm trying to sendkeys to a vt320 terminal, all keys work fine BUT the arrow keys.
For some reason which I obviously don't know, when I
sendkeys.sendwait("{DOWN}")
The terminal shows the number "2" instead. (The equivalent number on the number PAD)
If I send "{UP}" it displays the number 8. (numpad as well)
