Keyboard Input - Send ALT + 1 Key To The Active Application
Apr 5, 2009
I amtrying to send ALT + 1 Key to the active application but the problem i am having is when i use SendKeys.SendWait("%1") the program ignores the alt key and jsut enters the 1. is there a way i can get this done?
I want to make a simple program like On-Screen keyboard to send a certain text - www.google.com - to any application like address bar in IE or Run window or any textbox in registration form .I searched the forum here and all answers about using the API window name function . or using the Timer control and that doesn't help .
I am running a small vb.net program to run an application and then send a SPACEBAR input to that application to initiate a command. This is the code I have so far:
Public Class Form1 Private Sub Button1_Click(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles Button1.Click
[Code]....
I checked online and still haven't found a concrete answer on this. Also, I would like to start it on a timer and when the application finishes with the command, close it.
This is what I'm trying to accomplish: I have a Point of Sale application that integrates with a credit card processesor. I wan't to remove any user interfacing logic in regards to the credit card processor in the point of sale and add it to a application that sits in the background or system tray. I want to be able to send a command to the background app to popup a form for user input.
For example: User in the Point of Sale clicks a button "Credit Card" at this point it will send a command to the background app say "ProcessCC" which will pass a transactionid and an amount , this will open a form for the user to enter in the credit card information and submit the payment to the credit card proccessor.
Reason: I need to get a padss certification and don't want to submit the point of sale to do it. Rather send the simple background app that will control any credit card processing functionality such as encryption , storing etc. I know it can be done using sockets but was hopping for an alternative solution.
I have a standard Visual Studio 2008 VB.Net WinForm application, running on Vista Business. One of the forms has a timer that passes Me.Handle to FlashWindowEx. This works as intended as long as none of the windows that belong to this application are the Foreground window. If this program is running and another application's window is the Foreground window, then it flashes as intended. If, however, any of this application's windows are the Foreground window, then it doesn't flash.
Ok so I've been searching the forums for the past hour (I used the search feature) and have had no luck coming across what I wanted to do.
I have a application that I'm going to launch remotely on 12 LAN computers at one time, but to activate the application, I need to press "r' on the keyboard. What code would I need so that I can run a .exe file through the command console that targets the process CapWiz.exe that is open and then mimics a keystroke on the keyboard "r".[code]....
The script should detect which key is pressed from the keyboard, including F keys; the script should start and when the user presses F2 should print something like "you pressed F2", when the user presses "A" should print "you pressed A", and so on
I'm trying to make a picturebox move left by 5 pixels when i press the left key. I am completely lost right now to be honest, and I've been trying to figure this out for the last 4 hours. I haven't done VB in two years, so feel free to crucify me on my mistakes, I learn better that way.[code]One thing I am wondering, is if I have to hardcode the picture box into my form?
I was a professional software designer using VB6. Now that I've converted to VB2005 years later, use, with pages of unrelated information. With VB6 I could use Left$, Mid$, etc to parse keyboard input into a string. For example in the KeyPress event of a name box I could use
Case "A" To "Z" CFName$ = Left$(CFNameBox.Text, CFNameBox.SelStart) + Key$ + Mid$(CFNameBox.Text, CFNameBox.SelStart + CFNameBox.SelLength + 1)
When converting a program from VB6 to VB2005 the software changed the line to
When writing another program I used the VB.Left(), etc, but it gives me an error. So, the question is, what is the correct way to capture keyboard input from text boxes and construct strings?
I used to program in BASIC, and am trying to learn VB now. What I am trying to do at the moment is take a keystroke on the numeric keypad (1-9 only) and pass it into my program to control what happens to a number as follows:[code]I can't seem to find anything in VB that allows simple keyboard entry in this manner.
These work perfectly in the Windows/Desktop, but when I tried to use these in Games, the input from the program didn't seem to register, or rather registered in the background on the Desktop.
I plan on viewing the game through a webview control, which I believe is perfectly possible... unless I can't see Flash/Java content? I've been wondering how would you "simulate a click" in the web view control? And, of course, keyboard input?
My.Computer.Keyboard.SendKeys(TextBox1.Text)to send the letters i want my program to send but i need it to press enter after i think it will use something like this
My.Computer.Keyboard.SendKeys(TextBox1.Text & Send.Enter) or something.
I want to make an app which on loading sits in the system tray and even after I open another program (say notepad or vlc or anything) i.e. even when the app is not in focus and if I press "G" on my keyboard, the tray icon should show a tool tip - "key G is pressed". I have tried several codes but nothing works when the app goes out of focus. I can use Register Hot Key [url] but it needs a modifier also (like Ctrl or Alt etc. along with my key G). So, is there any way I can achieve this? something which many tray icons do like antivirus apps, etc. and I do not want to use AutoHotkey application.
I am making an Auto Typer and it was going all good until I came apon a mysterious problem. When sending the space key or enter key with "Send Keys. SendWait" they come up with their numerical equivalent, 32 and 13.For example, a user types "test" into the textbox, and clicks "{Text} {Space} {Text}" in the options menu. The user clicks start and the output is "Text32Text32Text".Is there any way to just send the keys and make them appear as if you typed them on a keyboard?
I'm using a barcode reader which emulates a keyboard with swedish layout. I'm using RegisterRawInputDevices to create a lowlevel hook, catching windows messages and checking which device that sent the keyboard input. If it's the barcodereader, I would like to store the input. I receive the key input one by one in this class - how do I translate this into a string? If the character to be sent is an #, then the keys sent are Shift+3.
I am in need of a small application, that will allways be topmost and will send keystrokes to the last active application (typically notepad or an explorer window). My problem is retrieving the current active form (or application), when my application is started up. Every search seems to return old and rather complex solutions using Win32 library functions, but I was kinda hoping, that .Net allowed for a neater and more simple solution.I need a code example or link on how to retrieve the currently active application window from another application just starting up.
This is the source im trying now. I got it from another site which says it works and to me it looks like it should but still my notepad gets no input what so ever. Im sure the function is working cause while debugging the letters started poping up into my source after the sendinput was was passed. I just cant get it to show up in notepad.
Is a way of creating a program (either in C(+,++,#) or VB.net) that would be able to send a beep sound through the same line-in that is being used for audacity (not stereo mix)?
I am trying to make a way of syncing up audio and video from 2 different programs, in a similar way that a clapper bored works in the movies.
Would there be a way of using a sort of microphone enhancement that could be created because they affect the microphone input?
I am creating a application for a touch screen computer/till of course, this means that I have to make a keyboard in my application so you don't have to mess around getting the keyboard out. I have multiple textbox's on my application and would like to know how to make the keys type into the textbox that is focused.[code]At the moment I was using this but this only puts the letters into the NameTextbox and also the NameTextbox doesn't appear to be focused. How would I get the keys to type into the textbox that is focused?
