This is the source im trying now. I got it from another site which says it works and to me it looks like it should but still my notepad gets no input what so ever. Im sure the function is working cause while debugging the letters started poping up into my source after the sendinput was was passed. I just cant get it to show up in notepad.

View 1 RepliesI'm currently "trying" to make an app that gets a certain text from the client and sends it to a server and the server sorts it out every text that he gets from the client into a different label every time he gets a text from a client. For example :
Client1 sends certain text to Server and server puts it in label1.text
Client2 Sends different text to Server and server puts it in label2.text
Client3 sends different text than 1 and 2 to Server and server puts it in label3.text
and so on.
Okay so i want to build an application that "wraps" another, the app that i want it to read console reports stuff like

View 3 RepliesThis is what I'm trying to accomplish: I have a Point of Sale application that integrates with a credit card processesor. I wan't to remove any user interfacing logic in regards to the credit card processor in the point of sale and add it to a application that sits in the background or system tray. I want to be able to send a command to the background app to popup a form for user input.
For example: User in the Point of Sale clicks a button "Credit Card" at this point it will send a command to the background app say "ProcessCC" which will pass a transactionid and an amount , this will open a form for the user to enter in the credit card information and submit the payment to the credit card proccessor.
Reason: I need to get a padss certification and don't want to submit the point of sale to do it. Rather send the simple background app that will control any credit card processing functionality such as encryption , storing etc. I know it can be done using sockets but was hopping for an alternative solution.

I don't really know why it keep displaying the messagebox that says it failed when I have input the valid strings in the first place.
I am writing a calculator app in VB Express 2008. I'm trying to get the app to accept numeric and operator input while ignoring all the alpha input. In other words taking input from the numeric keypad and the top of the keyboard and ignoring all the letters.

I cannot figure out how to incorporate the number of days into the input box then get it to loop and count the number of times the User inputs in the number of days. Then I have to incorporate it into the equation to get the total distance D = MPH * Hours. What I have right now wil not count up the number of days and locks up after I input one number and will not add anything to the listbox. Because I also have to make sure that they cant add nonnumaric values and the number of hours per day cannot exceed 20. I have put things in and taken them out but it has been 2 days and I am lost now

Now as you can see it is sending the textbox1 text and then pressing enter then sending textbox2 text! Theres quite a few problems in that but before i discuss note: This code is in a Timer. Problem #1: It does not send the keys fully correct all the time because its trying to send them all at once! So i want it to send them 1 letter after the other with 200 ms sleep in them! Problem #2: The sleep is not working: The reason i know is because even after it did the first textbox1 text it didnt wait that 2000 ms!

I am trying to send keys to a control on my form. But I am getting a NullReferenceException and I don't know why. The code is about as basic as it gets: [Code] The error reported is object reference not set to an instance of an object but Send is a shared method so doesn't need an instance. Strangely if I ignore the error it works fine and F4 is passed to the control. I know there was an issue with sendkeys and UAC but I thought this had been solved (I am using 4.0 framework).

It will then have a link to page 2, which allows them to edit something.I then want them to click a link that will send them back to the gridview under the same parameters of: /example/grid?value1=1&value2=2

I am trying to use the send keys function to send text to another program.I ahve gotten it al working well, except for using () as I know sendkeys doesnt like these.I have tried using the Replace function in several places in my code to replace the ( with {(} and {+0} etc, with various other options tried.But when I run the program, it seems to skip this out completly and leaves them in the string as (, and therefore it errors and wont run.When I step through it, it goes through the function but doesnt alter the strng as it should. I have to check the following:

I've been working on some code to add together input from an input box to make a string and display it in a message box. I've put the code in a loop so that it will add all input into the string until nothing is entered in the input box.
