May 10, 2010I am writing a calculator app in VB Express 2008. I'm trying to get the app to accept numeric and operator input while ignoring all the alpha input. In other words taking input from the numeric keypad and the top of the keyboard and ignoring all the letters.
Here's the block of code I have so far:

I cannot figure out how to incorporate the number of days into the input box then get it to loop and count the number of times the User inputs in the number of days. Then I have to incorporate it into the equation to get the total distance D = MPH * Hours. What I have right now wil not count up the number of days and locks up after I input one number and will not add anything to the listbox. Because I also have to make sure that they cant add nonnumaric values and the number of hours per day cannot exceed 20. I have put things in and taken them out but it has been 2 days and I am lost now

Change This Checksum Function To Accept An Integer Input Instead Of A String?
Dec 31, 2009This function doesn't work if I change the input argument 'pdu' from a string to an int.Would someone please help me figure out what to do here so that the checksum does not add the ascii value of the int argument but rather the actual integer value?I took out a few lines of the actual function but it adds the input argument to a packet sent out via TCP protocol.This function shows the integer value just fine in the string that gets encoded as a byte array. the checksum is wrong.!

VS 2008 - Taking Column And Adding Input Elsewhere
Nov 15, 2009I am working on a program where the user inputs values, then the program calculates those values and outputs the sum. When the user hits the button exit then those values entered by the user are saved. When the user starts the program again, the values are still there. I wrote the code and everything works fine. I am saving those values in notepad... and the program grabs the input in notepad and outputs those values to the program. But here comes the problem: Lets say the user wants the information in a certain column to be added to another column somewhere in the program. Is that possible ? And if it is can it be done when I am saving those values in notepad?

But the problem is it's getting input like MM/dd/yyyy and after pressing enter it's changing to dd/mm/yyyy style. So is it possible to read input like "dd/MM/yyyy".

Jul 14, 2010I have two textbox controls and I want to accept input for textbox 1 and textbox 2. However, when user enters text into textbox 1 I would like textbox 2 to mirror the same text as it is typed.
I am sure this is a very simple procedure however it is new to me and I am having trouble finding an answer with search engines. Most result are coming back as text that one can read backwards in a mirror which is not what I am looking for.

My thought is to use an input box that asks me to type in the ticker name. The macro will then use this input to obtain the latest price of whatever ticker i type in. I can't figure out how to put the input box data into the macro. In the macro below, I want to put X wherever the web query uses the ticker msft.
