i get this error:

Parallel Port And Relay Control?
Oct 26, 2009im new around here and also to VB.NET infact any aspect of programming, im hoping to be able to some useful stuff but at the momment im a little stuck i only have basic knoweldge so anyway here goes im programming in VB.NET 2008 Express edition, im also using inpout32.dll which is running ok and also controlling the parallel port fine.the problem i have is as follows the program so far is controlling the 8 outputs at the momment, i can turn each individual one on but when i try to turn multiple outputs on it will only turn on one and the other that was turned on goes off i understand its controlled in a 255 bit array but how to decode it is a little tough

We tried to modify the code so that the box is checked after 5 seconds using a counter and an if statement. It works, but only partially, what happens is the check box shows a check, but the even that is normally triggered does not happen. [code]

May 7, 2009I have a piece of code which sends email with an attachment from my application. The code uses MAPI to send the email. It opens up a new email message so the user can add to the email message, and then the user clicks send.The code works fine. However there is one small problem. The email that the code opens, is always in Microsoft Outlook. Sometimes the application's user has Outlook Express set up as the default client, but my application always opens the new email message in Microsoft Outlook. (Outlook 2003. In the one user's machine that has Outlook 2007, everything works fine and the email opens up in Outlook Express.)As I searched for a solution, I saw this problem posed many times in various places on the Internet, with no solution (or none that worked). I did try several suggestions which involved creating registry settings and registering some dlls.

From what I can tell, this should be configuring some kind of sending option. I can kind of work out what's going on, but I don't know how I should go about re-implementing it.It's looking like the place to be putting this stuff is now in the System.Net.Mail.SmtpClient.Credentials class, but the information in there doesn't seem to bear any resemblance to what I have here.I'm almost certain I'm making some obvious error, here, but I can't see it. Can someone tell me what I should be doing?

Oct 20, 2011I am trying to get my 4 port USB relay board to work in VB.net using the COM PORT. I found some code from a poster who has the 16 port USB relay version. When trying his code i can only get it to turn on relays 1-3 all at the same time. The product can be found here: USB 4 port relay

405 - Method Not Allowed HttpWebRequest
Apr 2, 2012I have a problem when trying to send a POST request. The sending method looks like this:

Now looking at this I suspected that it was due to the fact that the server does not accept POST messages. But some other reading suggests that the the URI [URL] has been generated with a proxy and should be /Request so the line should read POST /Request HTTP/1.1
So what would be the common reason for this? And if it is a proxy problem, how is it sorted?

Oct 8, 2011i am currently having two problems with this assignment. The program allows the user to add new students to a listbox with a unique Id, lastname and test average. When adding a new student to the listbox, part of the assignment is to not have duplicate students added. I am currently stuck at trying to figure that out. I have figured out how not to have duplicate courses under the course information form but when trying similar code for adding a student i cant get anything i try to work. the next problem is when searching for a student from the list and clicking on the Course Information button, the course information added for that student needs to be displayed. My problem is getting the student searched information to show up right, but if i add three students and search for the first one i added and click on course information button it only shows the last student i added. this is my code for the whole program
