It am trying to launch this code that would normally run from a batch file
Batch file code:
@ECHO OFF
SET BINDIR=%~dp0
CD /D "%BINDIR%"
"%ProgramFiles%Javajre6injava.exe" -Xincgc -Xmx1G -jar craftbukkit-0.0.1-SNAPSHOT.jar
PAUSE
[code]....
When I run the code cmd.exe opens but then nothing happens?

I believe this is an encoding issue due to the resulting output. I am trying to make a batch file (meaning .bat) from VB.NET. The output looks fine in a normal text editor, but when executed via the command prompt, it keeps giving me syntax errors to start. I've even tried using CharCodes, but still to no success.
Module Module1
Sub fileop()
Dim cd As String
Dim fnd As String
Dim del As String
Dim ms As String
[Code] .....

I'm currently using this method in calling batch files in vb.net:
Private Sub Button3_Click(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles Button3.Click
System.Diagnostics.Process.Start("F:ipconfigflushdns.bat")
End Sub
Is it possible to incorporate the code written in the batch file so that I won't have to call it like the one above?

Do I need a driver? (I really love the new IDE, we currently run VB6.)

With the intention of creating a program to interface with a serial port device, I recently started learning vb.net. To keep the structure neat the vb code has been split into two places; the first is the code behind for initialising, clicking buttons etc., whilst the second is for managing the comm port. Respectively, these are named 'MainWindow.xaml.vb' and 'ComPortManager.vb'.
In 'comPortManager.vb':
Dim RXArray(2047) As Char ' Array to hold received characters
Dim RXCnt As Integer ' Received character count

I have a web site that includes code to move data between databases, generate Office documents, etc. I also have a need to duplicate some of this work in batch. Where they overlap, I've had to code things two different ways -- one for the web site (using server-side vb.net) and one for batch (using vbscript). I know you can run batch from vb.net. I'd like to do the opposite -- from batch I'd like to access some code that I've already written using vb.net classes, web.config, and Office interop assemblies. I tried some of this in PowerShell, but it took 45 minutes to generate a report that runs in 20 seconds through the web interface.
