Is there any way to make a program that gets data from the input site (like the javascript: Time left:, and the bidding page)
my goal is to make a program that will bid your maximum input using your credentials at the last minute... i hate loosing bids...

1. When i inpute the month, it doesnt input it, it just makes the combobox on the website smaller for some reason

Ive been trying to make a program that scans a website for the Forum directory mainly to learn about HttpWebRequest.I know that i need the url, and the request, so i set that up like this:

I am new to Visual Basic. I have Visual Basic 2010 Express. I am planning to make a program that can download files from a website to put on an SD Card to Soft Mod, or hack it. I want it so that the user clicks on a radio button based on what System Menu their Wii is running on. There is currently, System Menu 4.0 or less, System Menu 4.2, and System Menu 4.3.
They also have to choose a region from a List Box. The current options are:
Region U (Americas)
Region K (Korean)
Region J (Japanesse)
Region E (European)
I also want it so that the user can choose where to download the installation files for the Wii soft Mod.
I want to have a button that when the user clicks on it, a pop up asks them where they want to download the files to appear, once they choose a location, i want it to download a file based on what they chose and i also want it so that it tells them what to do with the files and where to put them.

View 2 RepliesI am very very new to VB.NET and would like to ask a simple question. I want to create a vb.net program and allow visitors to a website to download this program. However, I prefer not to have visitors download a zip folder. I would like to have a program that just gives a prompt to save in a selected folder, once the saved file is selected it prompts the person to download, and then when finished prompts the person to run the program. The reason is twofold:
1. I don't like the extra step involved with unzipping the file. and 2. I don't like the visitors having to look for the "main" file program within the new downloaded folder. So is there any way to have just one file for others to download without having it in a zip folder?

I was wondering, i have smtp mail adress and password (for gmail*) and it is probably very easy to read it when opened with hex editor or decompiled so i want to encode/crypt that info in my program to make it almost (i know it isnt possible to make it fully unreadable) unreadable and/or make my program undecompilable

View 4 RepliesI'm writing a program in VB.Net and loading the info into a SQL database. Debugging it works fine on my machine that I am programming it on, it connects to the database and runs through all the info perfectly. However trying to get it to run on another machine it will not connect to the database. I realize the reason for this is the connection string, it's looking specifically at the file directory for the database. How do I change this so that it will function on any machine. The program is only intended to run on one machine at a time and not over the internet.
