I was wondering if there was a way of pulling text from a website and the displaying it in a label, text box, etc.My idea isn't malicious in nature, I just want to be able to pull text from a specific page and then compare it with another page.

With debug.print I'll get the correct information, but as soon as I try to insert the outcomes to label.text I'll get error:
Attempted to read or write protected memory. This is often an indication that other memory is corrupt.
So, how can I pull the information from dll to label text?how to use the sensor.dll to extract information?
I have a database with two tables in it: People and Logs.I have created a Details page that displays Person information and additionally includes the associated logs records. All of this has just been done by adding a standard details page - not custom coding, etc.When a user clicks on the green + to add a row to the Logs for that person I want to autopopulate a few of the columns. To do this I've opened the Log class and added the following:

This works great. But I also want to pull in the card number associated with the person. In the end my code should look something like (pseudo):

However, I'm not sure exactly how to accomplish this in code?
I know I can pull the amount of memory by using My.Computer.Info.TotalPhysicalMemory but I would like it to show like it does under My Computer properties. What do I need to do this?

I have several asp.net website projects for various sites.Currently I want to add REST API's to these projects so I can start developing mobile apps (using HTML5/JavaScript/CSS3 and PhoneGap) that make use of these webservices.
Since WCF is far more powerful than regular asp.net webservices (among others with control over the service and authentication/authorization), I'd love to add these to my existing website project.
I did a Google search but cant find anywhere a step-by-step tutorial how this can be done. And also if there's any functionality I'd possibly loose when adding WCF functionality.I was also thinking of creating a new project specifically for WCF, but think I'd rather add it to an existing website project.
I am using one web project in the name of "AAA", it is working fine in the production. I am trying to add two new aspx pages in the existing website without affecting the existing AAA.dll file, so I planned to create a new web project inside the same solution in the name of "BBB". In AAA - I have one web.config, In BBB - web project I have one web.config. In the live I am using AAA's web.config. Here I am trying add the new aspx files and bbb.dll in the hosting place. My question is "How to add BBB web project's web.config settings ?

how to correlate info from a textbox based on a listbox item selection. For example the user will select an item from the listbox, enter say the length of a song in the textbox say 2:00 for song #1, select say song #2, enter the song time for that song say 3:00, click on song #1 again and have the same textbox display the length of that song and be able to do that until there are no more songs on the list.

View 4 RepliesI have a ASP.NET 2.0 website created in C# that acts as a completely independent site and I am looking to integrate this into an existing ASP.NET 2.0 website created in VB.NET. Unfortunately I just don't know much about the server management side of ASP.NET yet so too much I'm unaware of when it comes to IIS configuration etc. Does anyone have any advice as to how I can go about integrating this? Basically I want to host it in a subdirectory from root so when you hit example.com/myindependantsite/ it will pull up my C# site.
One possible solution I came across mentioned just dropping the project folder into the root directory and setting up that directory as an application virtual directory in IIS? A few other random questions were small things like would my application relative links (~/for-example.aspx) stay relative to my root subdirectory if it's made into an application virtual directory? Just trying to get this running on their site but like I said it's completely independent so want to preserve my websites environment.

The whole process should be that after an option is selected in the first comboBox, the second comboBox and the listBox are populated. So for example, I could select a Company from the first comboBox, and the second conboBox will be populated with all it's locations while the listBox will first display the location of the headquarters(default location). But the user can then select a different location from the second comboBox if they want to and the listBox will then display the location of that newly selected office location.how do I dynamically pull these data from various databases cause all the companies will have their information in separate DB's.
