Datagrid Organization - Make Form Not Clickable
Oct 3, 2011May I ask a suggestion about this datagrid. I have this datagrid but it has so many column and I am going to total each and every column. If I am going to put a textbox or label, it'll be kinda difficult because it will not align to the column. Any solution you may suggest?
Another thing is this form for Daily Income. I want the form at the back (Main Form) not clickable unless I closes the Daily Income Form. So that the Daily Income Form will not go at the back of the Main Form. It is like you were saving a file on a text editor that you can't click the window behind it.

Aug 22, 2009I have a datagrid where the first column is for image button for expand purpose. The visibility of the image depends on some conditions row by row. I am trying to handle this in ItemDataBound event, and using e.item.cell(0).findcontrol("imageButton").visible = false. The first cell of this row therefore disappears even that the size is specified in the ItemStyle tag.

Jun 1, 2010The problem is that if you never enter anything into a cell for a new row then that cell is never validated. This is a problem because I have columns that should not be null. I am doing the check in the row level validation and storing the information about which cells are empty that should not be empty. The row level validation works fine and the row level validation error indicator goes on,(red exclamation mark at the beginning of the row) but I also need a visual indicator on the individual cells that are in error.
I am thinking that setting the HasError property for the cells that are in error should cause them to display n error style (the default red border). Is there a way to this this either from XAML (perferably) or from code?Alternatively I could cause those cells to re-validate when the row editing is finished. Does anyone know how to do this?
Prevent Moving To An New Cell In Datagrid If The Current Cell Is Empty
Aug 2, 2011I have a datagrid that will be accepting data from an external measuring device via the serial port. The grid is also open to editing records as well. Part of the process of making this grid user friendly is to intercept the "enter" key and move to the next cell until there is a value in the cell. This is only for some cells, other cells can be blank. I have worked out how to intercept the "enter" key from another post on this forum. Here is the code:

Make Clickable Map Image?
Jan 24, 2010For my own amusement more than anything I am trying to create a program that has a world map then when you click on each country it leads to another form. At the moment I have the World Map as a background image on a forum, The only way I can think of at the moment is to have picture boxes but the countries are too packed together for this to work effectively and I believe that you can have transparent backgrounds on picture boxes.

Sep 4, 2011I have a DataGridViewImageColumn with an image in it I would like to make the only area to perform a function of mine when I click it. I can click the row and get it to work but can't seem to only make just the imagecloumn the clickable region.
So as an example I have

Oct 10, 2009I've search for hours on Google but could find a solution.want a clickable area (that can handle MouseClickEvent, DoubleClickEvent, etc...) that is transparent, hence you can look through it.For example:I have Form1 with a bunch of buttons, text fields, etc. I want a clickable area that is over the whole Form1 (thus over all the buttons, etc).If you click this area, the clickEvent for this area should be could and not the eg: button underneath this area.Most importantly of all the area must be transparent, thus all the buttons, textfields, etc underneath the clickable area should be visible. Something like a panel or pictureBox that you could put over the buttons would be ne, but a if you drag a panel/pictureBox over a button, the button is invisible, and if you say send to back, the event of the button will be called and not that of the clickable area.

Dec 23, 2011I have a DataGridView with several columns. One column is a TextBox column named "Status". This column can only show one of three values: 'Final', 'Ready', or 'No Reportable'. I want to have some code that would turn the TextBox cell into a ComboBox cell when the user left-clicks on the cell to allow the user to choose one of these three options. When the user clicks elsewhere or the cell loses focus I want the cell to change back to a TextBox cell.
Here is what I have so far, but the code throws an exception indicated below Plus, I don't think the code would remove the combobox when the cell loses focus.
