I have a datagrid where the first column is for image button for expand purpose. The visibility of the image depends on some conditions row by row. I am trying to handle this in ItemDataBound event, and using e.item.cell(0).findcontrol("imageButton").visible = false. The first cell of this row therefore disappears even that the size is specified in the ItemStyle tag.
View 3 RepliesI have just found that if a DataGridView image column's size (height & width - in pixels) is smaller than the image's original size (in my case all images are exactly 180 x 180 pixels) at the time the cell is populated then the image is automatically being converted to a lower resolution I assume to fit the image completely within the size of the cell). How can I stop the automatic scaling of the image?
The image below show the same file displayed twice, both at 60x60 pixels ('Thumbnail' column) and a blowup of the image (PictureBox populated via the CellMouseEnter event) to it's right. You'll notice the resolution of the first blowup is far less the the second. so, what made the difference in the resolution of the blowups is? In the second blowup's case I'd first stretched the image column's width to ~180 pixels and set the row height to match (via the ColumnWidthChanged event) then populated the DataGridView then stretched the image column to 60 pixels (its minimum).
I have a label which appears full screen on a projector (VGA 2). In this label I will be sending strings. Some one liner's, some wrapped paragraphs. Some multi-line with carrage returns. My goal is to have the font dynamically change size to be as large as possible without overflowing the fixed label size.

It works great except I was have an area where I allow the user to choose which columns they want visible or invisible. View 1 RepliesSo I've got 2 unbound datagridviews, and am providing a push/pull interface where the user can move records from one to the other.
Grid A is read-only and the selectionmode is set to FullRowSelect. Grid B has a read-only DataGridViewTextBoxCell, an editable DataGridViewComboBoxCell, and an editable DataGridViewComboBoxCell.
Because the grids have different columns, but represent the same records, my notion was to create the datagridviews with the same column structure but hiding certain columns, and then just move the DataGridViewRows back and forth between the two, which seams to work.
The problem is that if I go into column 2 or 3 in grid B, I get "Current cell cannot be set to an invisible cell".
I can select cells in column A and I'm fine. It should be noted that on grid B the hidden columns are 4-7.
I know there's a problem when the CurrentCell attribute is set to a hidden cell, but I'm clicking visible cells. I inserted a breakpoint on the CellClick event of the DGV, and again for column 1 that works fine, but on columns 2 and 3 it looks like the error is occuring before the event even gets fired.
Is something in the background setting CurrentCell to one of the hidden cells before firing the event?

I'm currently working on a school project. And a part of the program is to 'change' the images. All images added are BMP-files. But the output has to be JPEG. Now there are 2 other problems:
- The width of the image should be between (70-165 ) Pixel and the height between (65-185 )Pixel
- The filesize of the image should be between (3-4 KB)
I know how to change the width/height, but it's hard to make the filesize between 3-4 KB.

View 4 RepliesI have a listview control. it has an imagelist attached to it with two images in it. I have entered items into my listview, and they are using the first image in my imagelist.... GREAT! Now, there is a variable I have that will tell me which index in the listview is currently active, noting to do with what I select that could be at another index it's just what's being processed by the program at the time in some task.
Create a function that will change the images of all my listview items by looping through them. If the index variable is set to 2, I want the 3rd item in my list view set to use the 2nd image in my imagelist. The rest of the items in my listview need to be set to the first image in the imagelist.

I have made a little bit of code which forces a naturally diverging iteration loop to converge to the value I need, excellent, but it currently is controlled by a button which I click to execute it. What I want to do is to automatically run the module when one of the input parameters changes, to find the new equilibrium value.
