i am making a virtual os with the ability to open up a calendar and add appointments on it i created to setting as strings to save the text put into the text boxes it saves them and opens them up but it will open the form and show the appointment but it shows the same appointment on whatever date you click on. also i need help on deleting a appointment here is the code:

I've got an HTML file that has a table in it. The table is some kind of a planboard. It contains the amount of planned hours for an employee for a customer on day x over a whole year. Our guys need it in their outlook schedules.Here is what i've built so far- Form to set parameters (select starttime, select input html file, alerting on or off)- Function that deletes all appointments within a set time frame that have a subject that starts with "project: "- Class that extracts all appointments from html and transforms them into outlook appointmentsEverything works peachy! -Except deleting appointments. I'm stuck! I've tried making a selection of appointments between two dates, i've tried looking for appointments on all days between to dates. It does not delete all items, just some of them. Of the23 occurences it should delete, it only deletes 12 OR 13 at random.

How can I duplicate the Outlook Calendar control that allwos you to see appointments on 15 minute intervals? It scrolls up and down and has mixed ssize fonts on it. I could duplicate the fonts but how do I get it to scroll? There are only a few controls that will scroll or allow you to scroll them.I am trying to create a scrolling schedule with a preselected time increment. (15 minutes intervals)

I have a few USB devices that use standard Microsoft Virtual COM Port drivers. More specifically, I believe they use the "Usbser.sys" driver. Whenever I plug my USB devices in, they always shows up in the Device Manager as a COM port, however, sometimes I am unable to open that COM port. This problem occurs on both Windows XP SP3 and windows 7 machines (The only operating systems I have tested this on).
To be a little clearer, I can plug my USB device in, and then successfully open the COM port. I unplug my USB device, then plug it back in, and I am unable to open the COM port. The only solution to this problem is to restart my PC. Is there any solution in VB.net to reset any entrees made to the Windows system when the USB device is plugged in? Has anyone come across this problem and resolved it via a VB.Net solution?

I am looking for something that will make it easy to schedule recurring appts (i.e. every monday, every other week on thursday at 9AM, every month,1st and 3rd tuesday, every year etc) with as many possible scenarios as possible.
I can automate most of the easy ones via a few screens, but inevitably my users come up with scenarios that require me to code and execute some custom scripts in SQL to make the entries, and I'd really like to offload this to the users.

i've made a little app that opens .txt files kind of a replacement for notepad now i have set the install package in visual studio to associate .txt with my app however when i double click on .txt files my app opens but blank. so i'm assuming i've gotta code something to get it to open the clicked on file but.... haven't got a clue where to look for inspiration or code i can "borrow" and chop to fit my needs. i assume it's got to be in the load section of the program.[code]

Is there a way to get a calendar updated other than just your own?
We have a Vacation Calendar that we want to be populated, not necessarily the user's own calendar. However, I cannot seem to find any way to get a calendar updated other than my own.
We are using AD and stuff for our accounts. The Vacation Calendar is an account, but it doesn't return an Inbox when querying it's tables, so it's not quite a full Exchange account; it was created just for the calendar.
I have an account (SP_ServiceApp) that has been given rights to that Vacation Calendar account to be able to write, but I still can't get it. I can't find anything on the Internet that addresses this, so maybe it's not even possible.

So i have several tabs, and i close them all using a button with:
TabControl1.Controls.Remove(TabControl1.SelectedTab)
But I have been trying to figure out how to make sure the main tab doesnt close.What can i do to make sure the main tab can't shut down, when closing tabs with the above code?
I want to make a program that can play MP3-files from my FTP-server.I know how to play, pause and stop music from stream, but i don't know how to add seek-ability.You know, like in Spotify or Grooveshark, they play streamed audio with seek.so, i would like to be able to seek, and the trackbar would show where in the song you currently are.So, my questions are:
1.What codec should i use? I have NAudio, will that work?
2.Is there any examples or tutorials on how to do this, any at all? (i couldn't find any)
