Listbox And Double Clicking?
Jul 6, 2010I have been scratching my head for a while on this, but not sure if it can even be done. Basically I tried the listbox_doubleclick event but that did not suffice. I am looking for something to use that can run my code when an item in the list is double clicked.It works with the listbox_doubleclick as should, but the problem with this is if I double click the listbox anywhere, it will run the code for the selected item.

Dec 12, 2010Ive got a listview and when someone double clicks an item i want it to process some code unique to that item. Using something like 'Switch' would probably be a good way to go about this but i dont know how to do this.

Nov 1, 2009i have been working on an app, that remains just my preset sizes. recently, i have discovered that by double clicking the form title bar, even w/the formborderstyle being set to fixedtoolwindow, the form still maximizes and all of my controls remain in the top/left corner.. not a good view.. so, i set the maximum size of the form, and now when double clicking it, moves it to the top/left of my desktop.. not a good result. here is a quick sample to start w/.

Mar 22, 2010Ok i am making a game (based on windows95)....i have it going good so far.I have it so you can open notepad (this is in a panel and its not the real system notepad)You can click save document and it saves the text it in a hidden textbox with a random filename (defined by user) and it saves it in a listveiw (windows explorer type thing).The idea is i want it to be so that if you double click the listveiw item it will open the textfile (text stored in a hidden textbox) Heres my code which is attempting to do this but i just can't think how to link them.

Jan 27, 2009I have a form with a list box and a button. The list box is filled with text files from a folder. When you click the button whatever file is selected in the list box is then opened and each line of that file is added as an item in a list box on another form.I'm not sure what to code for if something in the first list box is not selected.

Aug 10, 2009My code follows. I have six items (indices 0-6) and I'm trying to check if one has been selected or not. If not, then messagebox yells at you to select one. If it does, it tells you what you have selected. I'm having a horrible brain fart and contemplated coming here for about 45 minutes as I couldn't get it.

if i select the +tomato in wrap it remmoves the +tomato in burger (deleting the 1st oocurance of it) how can i fix that. i have played alot and can not figure it out.(ps the other list boxes are other data but it needs to remove the same "line" as each other. they are all changed to the same selected index when 1 is changed)

I kow there is definitely a problem with this piece of code im setting the index and length to constant numbers so if a different name is clicked it does not work!! is there another way to set this to allow for any length or index position??

Dec 13, 2011I am trying to use a listbox to hold categories from one table in a database and by clicking on the categories in the listbox it will display data from another table in the database that is linked to those categories. One table has a field called ID and the other has categoryID and categoryID is linked to ID so it displays the numbers from ID.I am using this:

Currently, however with this if you delete a category from the table with ID in it then it changes the values of the selectedindex in the listbox which messes up the data that gets displayed. How can i change this so instead of using the selectedindex from the listbox, it takes the ID from the selectedindex?
