Ive got a listview and when someone double clicks an item i want it to process some code unique to that item. Using something like 'Switch' would probably be a good way to go about this but i dont know how to do this.

I have a situation where I am handling both single & double mouse click events on a form. In both cases something has to be loaded, however when a double click occurs, I do not wish to execute the code attached to the single click event.Is there a way to intercept the mouse click's and check if double or single and then execute the right event appropriately?
View 2 RepliesOk, so I have a listview on one form, and when a button is pressed it opens up a new form with the contents of the selected listview item and it's subitems in a series of textboxes. The user can then change the data in the textboxes and either press save to make the changes or cancel to close the window. What command would I use to change the selected listview item and subitems to whatever is in the boxes?

I am creating a program, if you double click the selected row in a datagrid, all data in that row will pop up in the next form. But I am having problem because whatever row I select, the first row is the one that always appear.

Ok i am making a game (based on windows95)....i have it going good so far.I have it so you can open notepad (this is in a panel and its not the real system notepad)You can click save document and it saves the text it in a hidden textbox with a random filename (defined by user) and it saves it in a listveiw (windows explorer type thing).The idea is i want it to be so that if you double click the listveiw item it will open the textfile (text stored in a hidden textbox) Heres my code which is attempting to do this but i just can't think how to link them.

I'm trying to figure this small issue out, I need to keep whatever selection the user selects highlighted/selected even if clicking in another row in the listview. The only way I could get this to work prior was with 'lvwStrd.Items.Item(0).Selected = True..However this breaks my program as the index isn't correct, due to the '0', is there a way I can keep whatever item they selected selected even while clicking other rows in the listview(they are empty, there are only one to two options at a time).

As you know, if you double-click on the sizer or divider or whatever you want to call it between two columns, the column on the left will autosize (unless you disable that). How can I catch this specific event? The ColumnWidthChanged event and the DoubleClick event are likely candidates, but in the ColumnWidthChanged event, there's no way I can see to determine if it was an autosize. Similarly, there's no simple way to catch what was clicked exactly with the DoubleClick event. how I can catch this specific event type?

So, the transfering of the items that the user might want to download is sent to a new form. I have a picturebox that shows up a X symbol showing that it can't be loaded.

this seems like such a stupid question but I've taken a long while off from coding and have forgotten how to call up the text from the selected item in a listview. This is because there is no '.text' function within the listview. I looked all over the internet but found 0 solutions . Everything I found just didn't quite answer the question.
