In the console app when I try Double.Parse("0.5") it gives 0.5 or Double.Parse(".5") gives 0.5
But in the web application Double.Parse("0.5") gives 5.0 and Double.Parse(".5") gives exception
Input string was not in a correct format.
how can resolve the issue in web app?

Parse TextBox.Text For SQL Query?
Apr 20, 2012I am teaching myself VB.Net and have setup a little App that reads what someone past in a text box for the IN Statment. ie Select from Tabel where Tabel in TextBoxPast.Text. my question is the user will copy and past a vertical column of date from excel inst my textbox an I need a way to parse horizontal row adding a Parentheses ( quotation mark ' first line of my pasted text and quotaion mark ' comma, quotiona mark etc.

In context, my SQL statement searches my database to find a customer record that matches the details entered into the text boxes on the form, and retrieves the CustomerID. Is there a way to show this CustomerID in a message box?
