I am trying to load a combo box based on a selection of data from another combo box. I am not sure how I would pass the value to the object. My thought is I am loading all the table data onto my object and then I would run the query on the object. However I am at loss as to how I would go about doing that.
Private Sub cboOrder_SelectedIndexChanged(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e AsSystem.EventArgs) Handles cboOrder.SelectedIndexChanged
Dim selecteditem As String

Upon entry into my database, frmLot opens. The form opens in datasheet view. It displays several fields to include one named WorkOrder. The user clicks in the cell named WorkOrder. In the On Click property, I store that variable and name it stWorkOrder. What I need to happen then is to pass this variable to the criteria field of a query named qryWorkOrder and have it run and display results.

how to pass a parameter to a predefined parameter in a dataset. I've found everywhere a solution if you build the sqldata adapter and the dataset in the code. Then you can pass the parameter like: da.SelectCommand.Parameters.Add("@param1", SqlDbType.Char).Value = param1_variable (as example)
But if you have builded a dataset (with table adapters), and then in the form app you want just to pass the param1 to a DataGridView1 (as example) which is using the table adapter, I did not find how to do this.

I'm trying to run an INSERT statement to pass data from a datagrid to a table I have on my database. The problem I have is that the table has 6 columns and the datagrid has only 3. So I only want to pass those 3 columns but I get the error that the other 3 columns does not accept null values. I need to change the columns to accept null values. The other problem it is that I can't pass more than 9 records, if I have more than 9 record on the DataGrid it says "object not set as an instance of a reference" and it only add 9 records if I have more than 9.
Dim RowCount As Integer = datagrid1.Rows.Count - 1
Dim ColumnCount As Integer = datagrid1.Columns.Count - 1
Dim RowIndex, ColumnIndex As Integer
Dim myconecction As String
myconecction = My.Settings.DataSource

I have a query that can be summarised in SQL as follows;
Select
S.StockCode
From
StockToCheck As S
[Code]....
Where the S var is a list of strings. This gives the error 'S' is not declared and points to the S in the function call / join (GetPOSStock). So it does not seem possible to do this in Linq, can anyone confirm?
