Upon entry into my database, frmLot opens. The form opens in datasheet view. It displays several fields to include one named WorkOrder. The user clicks in the cell named WorkOrder. In the On Click property, I store that variable and name it stWorkOrder. What I need to happen then is to pass this variable to the criteria field of a query named qryWorkOrder and have it run and display results.

View 3 RepliesIt's a program that reads student data from a text file and displys it in a listbox(Form1). From there on you can add a new student to the textfile by clicking on "Add" button that shows another form(Form2) and you input the new student data into the appropriate text boxes. Afterwards you can press "Add" button(Form2), but the Add Student(Form2) window comes up again with all the inputted data gone, and if I place the new student info into the text boxes again and click "Add", the program jumps back to the Form1 and a message box suppose to say what was added to the textfile, but nothing was added except for empty listbox items.

The values for the hidden fields are already set. I want these value to open a window, in which the fields will be already filled using the values passed by this page. This code is working fine on Internet Explorer, but not on other browsers. Moreover, when I don't pass any value and just open the required window, it works on all browsers.

I am trying to run a query an Access db from VB. The general query which I want to run is

In one function I have the variable: dim StrProjectNumber = UCase("23-EXP-16284")
However in another form I want to use that same variable in a SQL query, and when I try it says the variable is not declared. Do I have to make a global variable or is there a way around it? If so, how would I go about declaring a global variable?
ok to start i know very little about VB6 but i am very good in true basic lol (stupid school teaching the wrong language -_-) anyway im just asking you to make the answer as clear as possible because i don't know very much. heres the problem . ok in the above example i have a button that (for my example) can be used to build a house (lol) i then have a variable in the button sub called money which will have 150 subtracted from it when the button is clicked my problem is it say variable not defined when using this button ... i have declared the variable in a module and in form load along with my other 50 or so variables. my question is how do i pass the variable into this sub and then send the new value back into form load so it can be sent into another sub for more calculations.
