I have a very simple application that posts an XML file to a web service.

Now this works on most workstations, the prompt for the private key is displayed the user presses OK and the XML is passed and a response is received. I have found some client computers that this does not work on. The computer does not display the prompt for the private key. I have been trying to figure out what is suppressing/blocking the prompt for the private key confirmation.
Here's what I did i VB 6 and I want to do the same in vb.net

I basically have a few thousand transactions 7,000 - 10,000 transactions to process over a short time. The flow goes like this.
---> ----> ---> ---> receive (1000) as each transaction takes approx 2 seconds so if i were to process synchronously it would take all night......
Now first i would like to ask if i am going about this the right way ? the service i am communicating with is not .net but is built to handle large amounts of requests. I have obtained the following code that suggests it will do what i am after

The problem i have is if the above will work for me where exactly do i catch the returned xml string ? I assumed "result" would be the xml output string.
I need to post a tab delimited file via the https post request. I need to be able to do this in asp.net VB. I have found various methods in C# however as I am still rather new to asp.net VB I certainly do not have the ability to translate the C# version. So the exact site I'm trying to login to is GMail. I can send the POST data to login fine, but after that GMail performs an authentication (the redirect URL contains 'SetSID?'). Now with my HTTPWebRequest I don't see a way to enable support of HTTPs requests. Is there a way to get around this and successfully login?

The MsgBox() at the end shows the response, which as I've added to my script, echos the result from the $user and $pass variables which are supposed to retrieve those details being written to the stream above, but they show up empty.
I'm retrieving those values by doing: $user = $_POST["user"]; $pass = $_POST["pass"];
I am making changes to my companies internal paysite in order to come into compliance with the new credit card regulations. We have decided that when we get a split tender transaction that comes through we want to get the remaining balance along with how much was on the card to start out with and send that info back to the customer service rep with a message relaying the need for another payment source along with the remaining balance and the amount that was originally on the card.
Instead of chaining the transactions together with the split tender Id we have decided we would like to finalize each split tender transaction with a prior_auth_capture and then request the next payment source and amount and process that transaction in the same manner. I know that we are side stepping the functionality some but those are my orders.
My questions are, is this feasible and possible and how do you do this in code? I am using the C# SDK to implement this in VB.NET 2008
My thoughts are that I would have to process the transaction for the amount passed as a auth_capture transaction and then some how do the prior_auth_transaction with a zero amount or something?
I am not capable of creating different users that have different authorization using vb.net.

I made this login script and I want a user to download a file when they login. The download file button checks a folder named login. Once a user logs in it creates a folder named login then it allows the user to download the file. The only problem I have is that I don't know how to let the download button accept any user. Right now the person has to be named chris and they can choose what password they want. Also how do I allow the program to place the file on the desktop and not the test folder. I am creating that will use Post Data instead of a web browser. I am new to post and this is my first time using it. I decided to go with something easy, and just make a program to auto login to Facebook. When I try it out it doesn't log me in. There are no errors or anything, just doesn't work. I have a Asp.net Web Project using authentication mode="Forms". My login works perfectly. Now the Problem is that I have a link in a site that is only available to authorized users. It is possible that the pdf file of that link does not exist. What I want to do is to verify the availability of the pdf with a HttpWebRequest. Since the pdf file is only available for authorized users (web.config/location/system.web/authorization) I have to mark the HttpWebRequest as authrorized. But I don't have the logincredentials at this time (only when the user logs in and the .net framework wouldn't get me the password of the user). How to send the already established authorization with a new HttpWebRequest?

There is a system that needs to POST data to my site and all they asked for is for me to provide them with a URL. So I gave them my URL [URL]
Now I do not know exactly how they POST it but now on my Test.aspx page I need to write code that will save that data to a database.
But how would this work and what must I do on my Test.aspx page?
I wrote some code in my Page Load Event that sends me an email on Page Load to see if they actually hit the page and it does not seem like they are even?
Is there a way to intercept POST data like HTTPAnalyzer?Can I make a call to send the data, see how it's formatted but actually block the connection if I know where it's coming from?
My goal here is to replicate the sending of an email through an SMTP server.

Is it possible to have location authorization nodes in a web.config be external?
Such that I could take all of the nodes simlar to

And move them outside of the web.config or something simlar? I find these nodes at an extreme amount of noise to a web.config when they're relatively static. Normally my approach would be to config source something like this but since it falls under the root node I'm not sure of it's possible with these nodes.
