This will ask for one proxy each time my webclient does something five times.
My webclient simply downloads some data and views it from a webpage over and over, and after 5 times you will get banned.
Question: How can I make the above code ask for a proxy from a textfile with one proxy on each line?
I will not have a browse function, the proxies.txt will always be in the app.dir

I need to read from offset 4896, then from 6096, then from 7296 for 100 times and for each interval add to the listbox.
I was trying to figure out the cause for this . What i understand is :
1. .net starts splash screen in different thread.
2. Someway when main form load event is finished or about to finish , then splash screen is disposed.
Now in this case , i think dispose method of the splash screen gets fired from the main form , even when splash screen initialization is not finished yet.
I'm having some bugs with my Visual Basic 2008! Here they are:
When debugging my program...After I close the program the 17th time visual basic freezes for exactly 45 seconds!
When I restart visual basic then it stops freezing but again after 17 times exactly it starts to freeze again!
( I think I've tried reinstalling it but I don't really remember...If I did it didn't work! )
I have a form based application and I need to add the ability for it to read command line arguments and not display any forms if the app was started from the command line. How can I go about this?

Background: Our app is primarily a desktop app that makes many calls to a web service. We control everything but changes to the overall system design are not going to be seriously considered. I have just started using vb.net and I have a checked list box with times throughout the day shown as

What I am trying to find is a way to get the current time and find which list item it fits into. What I think I need to do is to first of all get the current time and then go through the list splitting each item into 2 times and seeing if the current time fits. For example: Split the item 00:00 - 00:14 to 00:00 and 00:14 and then check if the current time is more than 00:00:00 but less than 00:14:59 and if so do certain task.how to go about taking each list item and splitting it into 2 separate times so I can check between them?
I made my program and now I just need to add in the serial and trial part of the application. I know the application must connect to the host and go to a txtfile. How would i do the trial and serial. Also If the serial is already activated I want the application to reject that Serial and Count how many times they entered in a wrong serial.

I've used the VB 'setup and deployment' project to make and installer and i also tried InstallShield but the occurs in both cases. i looked on google but can't find anything that makes sense atleast. i think the application can not create _log.LDF file. View 2 RepliesI am trying to read text from a 3rd party application. I can create a catalogue of all possible letter variations. I can store every possible character I encounter as a small bmp, or perhaps as an array/matrix of pixel values. For example:

What method gives the best trade-off for simplicity and speed? And how can I implement this method? How do I search for a bmp within a bmp at specific coordinates?

What I want to do: Get the html of a certain webpage (Lets say in this case url...this html within my wpf application, so that you can see the content of the page you requested. Then I want to be able to trigger events on the html that has been loaded from the URL. Like I want you to be able to click on a certain node in the HTML and I want to be able to link this node to a certain value. Basically a crawler application that let's you request a page, see the page in a control and allows you to click in the loaded HTML and link values to predefined values you set. So basically I want to be able to get a webpage displayed within my application and be able to trigger events on the html (For example a click on the html which would need me to know on what node you clicked in the html, or for example be able to edit the html by clicking in it).
